So some not so good news. On Monday it was noticed that my blood pressure was climbing and I was put on preeclampsia watch. Yesterday afternoon I was admitted to my local hospital in hypertensive crises. My blood pressure was so high I was in immediate danger. They were able to stabilize me at the local hospital enough for an ambulance ride but I was a very close life flight helicopter trip.

I've been transferred to the absolute premier high risk pregnancy and nicu units in the state. My blood pressure while still high is back in safe ranges this morning. They are telling me I won't be going home with out delivering. Since my prognosis is very good at this time (no additional symptoms or evidence of organ issues) they feel that they will be able to keep me stable until 34 or 35 when they will induce her at 5 or 6 weeks premature, but things could change at any moment still.

I will be living in the hospital for the next month or so. During that time there is no reason why I can't do some light work like processing ice payments and turning on some of the Holiday events etc. (Haystack will be helping with this too) however, for obvious reasons a good amount of what was scheduled to happen is now cut back or canceled. Haystack and I will be evaluating the list to see what is doable now once I am a bit more stable.

I will update info as I have it to share.


Gael is in charge while I am hospitalized. Behavior wise, If someone even sneezes in a way that raises my blood pressure it's an instant ban that will be reevaluated only after we are home from the hospital, and you all know she is 10 times meaner and less forgiving then I am so be extra good. She's basically HAJ Krampus so BE GOOD!


UPDATE 12/20: So they have gotten me pretty stable at this point. There is still some medication tweaking going on but I am general back in normal health BP ranges on my meds. I am off all the wires now, can move about my hospital room, work on the couch, wear my own clothes etc so feeling pretty good. I still get monitoring every six hours but no longer have to be strapped to the machines. Through out this Fluffles has always looked fantastic. There is nothing wrong with her at all. My body just can't handle pregnancy. Because it's me and not her the NICU doctors feel she should have no problems and need only minor support after birth.

We will not be letting people know when I have been induced. Preemie inductions and preeclampsia inductions in particular are very long and difficult. We won't have the bandwidth to deal with any updates, but we will let you know when we have news to share.

Work wise. We can not log into Paypal or the sever at the moment because we don't have a secure connection but Hastack is working on that today. I should be able to get back things soon and am honestly looking forward to it.



UPDATE: 12/24: Wednesday night my condition took a major turn for the worse and I developed full blown HELLP syndrome. Basically it's when your body starts completely shutting down. With in just a few hours they had me in the OR and Princess Flufflepuff was born. She is a level 2 preemie (32 weeks) so has a long stay in the NICU to go but is doing fantastic. She is just shy of 4 pounds and 17 inches long. She does not need a respirator and they are already reducing the amount of oxygen she is getting since she does not need it. I'm already feel much better and was able to go see her for the first time this afternoon. I am doing so much better they where able to move me out of high risk and into normal L&D recovery. So the prognosis looks extreamly good for both of us. I'll be going home in a few days here but of course going back and forth to the NICU as much as possible until she comes home.
