Tattoo Help!
-
Hi everyone!
I'm looking to update my stud tattoos since I've changed the name of the program. I'd love if someone could make a 'kG' tattoo for me! I'd love a light-colored one for dark horses and a dark-colored one for my lighter horses (specific color doesn't matter!). Be as creative as you'd like!
I'd be very willing to pay for your time and effort :) Thank you! -

@SandyCreekAcres I'd really appreciate it! Thank you! I have yet to figure out the art of the transparent background :))
-
-
@bluchrystals Oh I love that! Thank you! How much should I send over?
-
Nothing. It only take a few minutes. I meant to do it earlier...and forgot. :DThanked by 1kgstable

Looks like I'm a little slow with my offering.
It's quite easy with Photoshop. Each letter is its own layer above the white background layer. I just discard that white background and export the tattoos in PNG24 format. There's usually no problem with file size.Post edited by SandyCreekAcres at 2019-12-06 18:26:42 -
@SandyCreekAcres I've been struggling with trying to figure it out for the past twenty minutes lol, I've decided to get a tattoo for my Splash M line I'm starting but can't seem to figure it out :))
-
What program are you using? I'm only used to using photoshop, so I might not be able to help.Post edited by SandyCreekAcres at 2019-12-06 18:54:51

@SandyCreekAcres I've had gimp for a long time and thought I knew how to use it lol, and i've tried paint and then a few other things to get it the right size. (Gimp usually works great but for some reason won't resize this picture)
I've been trying to get this
https://media.istockphoto.com/vectors/outlined-coffee-cup-icon-simple-vector-on-transparent-background-vector-id915271446?k=6&m=915271446&s=612x612&w=0&h=3LTKqHQK3XLPlbf9QbarGbYu2DHiNl73sEnKL5qnTv0=
the right size for about 15 min now :)) I figure out how to get it transparent but now I'm struggling with sizing. Google surprisingly hasn't been much help
I sure feel like such a grandma trying to use technology right now =)) this is why I'm going to school to cook food, not anything with computers

Can you crop the image so that there isn't a lot of background around it?
Let me see what I can do in Photoshop. -
@SandyCreekAcres yes I can usually crop close to it. Thank you!
-
I've got it, I think. Let me slide it into my tattoo registry and put it on a horse.
Nope. It didn't keep the transparent background that time. Shall I try again?
Maybe it's because it's a vector image. Photoshop can be quirky with those.Post edited by SandyCreekAcres at 2019-12-06 19:18:13 -

@SandyCreekAcres Can I find another picture for you to try out? Like I said I'm not quite sure what works and what doesn't but maybe I can find something a bit better (and also please do let me know how much to send over for all of your work helping me :) )
Edit: Maybe this will work?

Thanks for the help, bluchrystals. Both of those are well done.
-
I've got just about everything to do it on my phone or saved in my bookmarks. ;)
-
My problem was trying to work from a copy displaying the transparent background, so I got that diamond pattern all through it and had to try removing it.
-
I've got a background eraser that allows you to select the percentage of the matching colors you want to erase. I also filled in the cup first since it wasn't showing up too well with just the outline.Post edited by bluchrystals at 2019-12-07 06:19:46

@bluchrystasl and @SandyCreekAcres thank you both so much!
Edit: I put it on my Splash M foundation! He'll be the beginning of my HuggAMug Splash M line :) All named after coffees
