@GildedFire That I did not know! I only have a basic upgrade so I've never used eggs or embryos since I can't lol

@paradoxpheonix that sounds nice! I do wish I could have the premium upgrade, but the basic does what I need for the most part! I just have to wait longer to get multiple results from my mares, my studs it's usually pretty easy to see how the produce within the first season or two.
My Satin boy has already produced so many Blue and A het satin horses so I know he's a good producer, my 2G studs take a bit but usually, I stick them in the pastures so that helps with intact and quality foals.
Mare's just take a bit longer so I usually don't GMT them, but for my splash M line I already have a stallion, I'd like a mare for my satin line though. It's just a bunch of stuff that I have to sort through by trial and error haha I just like others opinions and to see how successful barns work :)

I've done a lot of both! Stallions are great to really establish your own lines and get them prominent in your stable. That said, there are so many GORGEOUS studs out there, I've been GMTing mares a lot more recently. Pretty stallions are a dime a dozen, but a blinged out mare is a lot more difficult to come by! And honestly, upgrading to Premium is worth it for egg flushes alone! :)

I GMT more mares than studs, simply because if gives me more genetic variety

I currently have 10 breeding age GMT'ed foundation studs, and 56 mares.

Yeas, at least het KP, if you're looking for a main breeding goal in KP I'd invest in some hom KP mares too :) @DragonflyStables

also basic accounts can make embryos @kgstable just not use eggs

Creating an embryo does not use the mares breeding. I have a whole barn for embryo transfer mares. Its a little expensive to create one but its worth it.

I usually only GMT Studs as they can spread the genes quicker.

I have a few mares that I’ve added KP with GMT tokens to for my Kit Promoter line but I don’t think I would personally add any closed or paid genes to a mare.

I also typically track genes through the stud lines so I can compare and process large groups of foals at once

I rarely GMT mares just because you get more bang for your buck with the boys. The only exceptions were my original hom Nexus mare (to go with the stud), and then I tweaked a couple of the het KP mares Ammit was so kind to give us just because KP is otherwise kind of a PITA.

If you can flush mares it can make those pesky hidden-when-het gene lines easier to establish, but otherwise, meh.
