    I heard you need an upgrade to get straws and eggs from horses but do you need an upgrade to buy and use straws and eggs?

    Yes, a basic upgrade to utilize straws and eggs. Premium upgrade to utilize embryos.

    From the sell a straw page:
    Any member can purchase a straw but only basic upgrade and up can use them. Any member can purchase an egg but only premium upgrades can use them.

    I believe basic upgrades can make embryos using a straw on a mare and collect the embryo but you need to have a premium to make an embryo from an egg and straw.

    ETA I believe that free accounts don’t have access to the adv. breeding lab so if your looking to buy straws, eggs or embryos for your SS it’s best to have the seller send them straight to your SS so they aren’t stuck in your freezer until you upgrade. I’m not sure if basic accounts can sell the eggs they have in their freezer or not either.
