I've been playing since Sept and I still have tons to learn as well. That is actually one of my favorite things about the game so far. It is a challenge, but there are so many people who will help you along the way. A couple things I've found really helpful for learning are the FAQ user guide (under the "vital links" section of the menu) and the "New Player Lounge" chatroom (in the "Buddy Chat" section under the community section of the menu - you should have already had a new player quest that sent you there to join that room). I mostly just lurk in the chatroom and read other people's questions and the answers - I've learned a lot there! It is also the place to get a quick response to any specific questions you have.

I've been playing for 13 years... I typed 10 then checked and it's actually 13, oh em gee. (For reference, I started the week of my 14th birthday, I am now 27.)

My favorites are dark bay and chestnut warmbloods with any and all open white genes. I just love long color names! I really love how realistic a lot of the genes are in portraits and all the infinite possibilities and combinations!

This game is truly great in that you can play in whatever way you find fun and you'll do fine. I suggest building up a good bunch of show horses and make lots of money, hoard your money. Love your money. Then spend it on barns and pastures and start breeding for show horses, then once you find yourself good and comfy start breeding for ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING. You'll find that a daily show bonus of a few thousand a day goes a long way. If you can buy barns and upgrades with real money you'll find you'll get there faster, but either way you will get there!

As you might have noticed, the community here is awesome. We're all here to help each other out and have fun! This time of year is exceptionally great for giving and receiving due to the secret santa event and the inaugural year for the Yule Lasses. If you're facebook inclined I definitely suggest joining the HuntAndJump.com Official Discussion Group, you'll find a lot of fun posts and herd helper shares out there. Ammit sometimes shares exclusive content and previews that those only on the forum don't see until they're officially announced.

One year, two days now!

My favorites are Riding Horses & Ponies because they look so Arabian or Caspian-ish. I like their manes & tails best too, and their faces are just lovely 8-> Favorite colors are easily flaxen liver chestnuts and lots of blingy white, though I have lots of other loves too!

While you're getting established, keep a tab with the daily herd helpers open. Pounce on any Rank Specials, Exceptional Producers, & Exceptionally Perfect herd helpers you see.
The Rank Specials are to sell- even the least valuable of them will still go for 4000hbs+, much more with a decent number of points.
For the others: Toss the ones with <200 points in auction. The higher ones either sell for 75-90% of their current lifetime payout or keep as show ponies for yourself. <br />
And do post an introduction in your Peer group section of the forum! You'll get 25,000hbs & a 15 stall barn.
