Looking to Trade Straws
-
I am looking to trade some guaranteed intact straws from my homozygous Ice 8 Yule Log stallion,
What I am looking for in trade, is straws, eggs, or horses with these genes:
Satin
Ice 2
Ice 4
I will trade multiple straws for any of these, I am negotiable. I am willing to keep offspring in house, and follow any geld/spay rules. I'm looking for the opportunity to breed colors I love the most. I want to keep up the quality.

I don't want to burst your bubble, but Ice 2 was sold specifically to be kept rare and Ice 4 is a privately owned ice gene.
-
Not that he's going to fail, but you might want to consider finishing his testing before asking to trade straws for some of the rarest genes in the game.Go boldly, where no App has gone before!
-
Okay, he has now been put through all testing.
Visions, I didn't know Ice 4 was privately owned, I was only looking in the search and I saw quite a few people had them.
I just really love how 2 and 4 look combined, and I have always loved Satin since I first started the game.
I was looking to give maybe 10 or 12 straws for any one of the mentioned genes, as I know they're very expensive. I would very much like to breed them, but I don't know how to best go about it. I guess this would be "grasping at straws." But, I suppose, nothing ventured, nothing gained lol.
If there's anything you guys think I could do to increase my breeding effectiveness, to show I am a responsible and trustworthy breeder, I will gladly take advice! -
Best bet for now is to just use stallions that stand publicly. As to being trustworthy, only time shows that.
If you are honest and forthright in your dealings, people will notice that. If you play games and talk out of both sides of your mouth, people will notice that too.
Responsibility shows in your herd. Do you keep everything that's "pretty" or is your focus on quality? Do you sell colts that are weaker than their sire intact, or do you geld them? Do you chase every color fad to come along, or does your herd show evidence of a plan? Are you relying totally on infusions and sales or have you balanced your herd well enough that your showing can pay for your breeding? Do you try to earn your way yourself or are you always wheedling for hand outs? Most importantly, are you following all the rules of the game to the letter? Things like that.
The horses you're looking at represent a substantial real money investment by their owners. And many of them have been burned by people who talked good until they got the shiny and then turned into jerks. The combo of real money invested + previous bad experiences leaves people very wary and slow to trust.
You're still new here to those of us who have played for a decade. It takes time. :)

I will do my best to be patient and prove myself. I apologize if I seemed overexcited or perhaps insulting to those who have worked so hard for the lines they have created. I "close" this post, and I will take more time to develop my herd. Thanks guys.

Another thing to keep in mind is Ice 8 is $30 per copy. When I first bought my original Ice 2 mare, she cost me $200 for that gene. I can't even imagine what Ice 4 cost to buy! Satin is 120 GMTs in the lab. Even with the amazing sale right now, $30 (cost of Ice 8) doesn't make a dent into paying for Satin. Just plugging numbers I doubt anyone would trade. Now, it's a whole different ball game when you develop a relationship with someone. Then they don't just think in the $$$$ they spent when dealing with trades. I hope this helps.
