New Year 2016 is coming.

Hello there.
Probably I should post this in the Non-HAJ Discussion section, but I've seen a lot of random topics in this section, so this topic it's posted here too.
On my clock now it's 8 PM. Yes, for four hours there will be new year 2016 in Poland. I'm posting this topic now, 'cause later I'll probably be a bit busy.
So, as I said, now here's about 8 PM. Outside it's dark, there's some snow. 18°F here. Now I'm looking at fireworks on the night sky.
I'm spending the holidays with my family in a small town in central Poland. I'll be back to my home in Warsaw on Sunday.
I'm so happy that I live in a safe and beautiful country. There's no war here. There's no acts of terror here. In this new year I'll pray for all unsafe countries and all unhappy people all around the world.
What will happen in 2016? Really, I don't know. I'll celebrate my 15th birthday on 9th October. Earlier, in September, it will be my first anniversary of my registration on HAJ and joining this kind and wonderful community. Hope that this new year will be a wonderful year for you and your families.
Greetings from Poland!
Szczęśliwego Nowego Roku 2016!
Happy New Year 2016!

Toast to 2015! (Hangs out shots of water, I am only 17)
Where I am from it is currently 1:09 local Iowa time 12:09 game time. It is warm the snow is mildly melting. The sun is bright in the sky. I am playing on spending New Years Eve with my boyfriend, my sister's 4 or 5 friends, my 8th grade cousin and my 2 of my neighbor kids.
There is no war, all is peaceful in small town Iowa. So grateful for this community and life.

Meanwhile, it's now almost 2:30 PM in northern Pennsylvania. We have a tiny bit of sleet and snow in the corners from yesterday morning's wintry weather, and the temperature feels more like December than it did a week ago.
It's pretty peaceful here, too, although the news from other areas of the county is more exciting. That used to be an ancient Chinese curse, or so I've heard--"May you be reborn in interesting times." :O The interesting times make for more exciting reading in history books, but they probably weren't easy on the people who lived then.
I'll probably be sleeping when the new year rolls in. My gray hairs don't appreciate very late nights, alas. -
I think I'm in the same time zone as Abbey98, being in Missouri.
I'm spending this evening with my boyfriend's and my friends (or at least those who can find a way around the flood.) This is the first day we have seen sunshine in days. Hopefully tomorrow will be just as beautiful.
Happy New Year! :)
Cheers to your toast @Abbey98 -
Well, it is 4:04 now in central PA. The wet weather has left our critters floundering about in thick, clay mud but we are ever thankful for the unseasonably warm temperatures thus far! As a third shifter, I'll be spreading the love at work tonight while the world celebrates. I'll raise my water bottle in a silent toast as I watch over my individuals at midnight. I feel like 2015 was another tough year with many losses of those I help care for and from my own family as well. I will remember them through the new year and far beyond knowing how I was so blessed to have been a part of their lives. In the coming months I hope for peace and love to all mankind. May you clear your hurdles with room to spare and gallop forever free! Much love, CatSpecializing high quality dark horses with lots of chrome.

I'm here in Massachusetts, and it's 507pm already dark. Just got home from work, which was crazy busy (I work in a floral shop in a Whole Foods grocery store). The snow still shows traces of being around, but most of it melted today from the warm 40 degree temps today. Now trying to relax a bit, before tackling doing some cleaning around the house, as I recently moved in so I am still unpacking boxes. I'll raise my cup of tea to your toast Abbey98!
I'll be sitting here by myself watching old monster movies tonight on DVD, in memory of watching the old Creature Double Features we used to watch as a kid on New Years Eve: Godzilla verses the Sea Monster, Lon Chaney Jr as the Werewolf, and lots of other oldies, til I decide to go to bed. Like Sandy Creek, I've got a few grey hairs (just celebrated my 53rd birthday on the 14th) so I doubt I'll be up too late, though I have tomorrow off from work, so I can sleep in!
Have a Safe and Happy New Year everyone! Was Rebecca Iavelli on the old forum

Think! - It's not illegal yet. -
The year just changed to 2016 here in Finland. It's 40 minutes past midnight. Fireworks are starting to die down - it was a surprisingly quiet year in that regard.
The winter has been really, really warm so far - the temperature today goes to show and was a rather "balmy" 28 to 30 Fahrenheit (just below 0 in Celsius). We're lucky to have some snow in this region - some of the southern cities do not even have that luxury. But boy is it dark, even with the little snow we have... The sun rises at around 10:30 and sets just after 2 P.M. (not that the sun is visible behind all these clouds, but you know, lol). I am SO ready for spring and some more light. Although it looks like with the increasing light, the real, cold winter is actually also arriving. Just wait for next week...
After a night of celebration with friends, it's soon time to try to get some sleep. Uncharacteristically, I have an early morning tomorrow.
So happy new year to everybody! Hyvää uutta vuotta!
Sleep in if you can - and enjoy the morning if you cannot. Let's hope next year is a peaceful and happy one.HJ1 ID 124061

It is 1:15pm in Sydney Australia and I have been home for about 30 minutes.
I missed new years eve this year due to work, I was working from 4am to midday. At the stroke of midnight I was still asleep. Luckily I have the next four days off before back to work (night shift this time).
Wishing everybody a happy & prosperous new year. -
I am sitting up watching Netflix, it is almost pm here. Benny and Becca are tucked in asleep and my daughter Vicki and her husband Brian are at a co-worker's New Year's Eve party. I don't know if I will make it up to midnight or not tonight lol, I am not getting any younger.
I want to wish everyone a wonderful new year and hope it brings you much joy and you realize some of your dreams :) -
Hello! I can see that this topic became quite popular :)
Now it's 10 AM here. I went to bed at 12:30 AM and woke up at 8 - I think I need more sleep now :)
I took some photos, I'll update them when I get home.
Have a nice day!Post edited by Azadeh at 2016-01-01 01:11:52understand the significance of signaturesThanked by 1High Five Acres -
1:22am now in Washington state. I'm laying here with my boyfriend passed out behind me, watching Vampire Diaries on Netflix looking at the horses I lost at roll over. Happy to have my 2 second Gen blue mares still. Raising my glass of whiskey to hope this year brings you all happiness and fun :)

7:10 A.M. here in northern PA now. My daughter left for work about 20 minutes ago. I was up past midnight, but it slipped right past me as I worked late on a website I manage for my church.
My everyone have a wonderful new year and all your surprises be pleasant ones.Thanked by 1High Five Acres -

It is now past 4 on January 1 in Cleveland. I'm celebrating 2016 today by drinking Irish coffee and applying to graduate school. :)
