Just curious if anyone has any ideas. I added chocolate to my Bring back the Sun stud- who is an Exceptional Perfect, and I added it to my Bronze age mare, who also has Exceptional Perfect- and i cant get any of their foals to pass sba. I finally got one to pass BA, (but tested worse than mom.) Is there anything anyone see’s as to why this is? Ive done around 13 breedings between the bronze age, chocolate cherry drop (papered yellow) and a couple rank specials, and so far only the one from cherry drop has made it through sba. I mean, could it just be really bad luck? (I did say that pretzel brindle 2g Foal i got was gonna take all my good luck ) I’m willing to send straws for pull price if anyone wants to test him on their mares? Hoping to try some 5% boosted B foundation mares or A foundations if anyones got one to try? I dont think he’s a low B, since most of the cherry drops wont pass either. But again I’m stumped. The cherry drop is lower papered, so it would be surprising for a foal of her with the BBTS passed because of the significant difference between the two. The cross between him and the Bronze Age failing seems to be just bad luck.

@lenashollywood Hmmmm, yeah I think its a luck game too.
Glad he provided for you @kryptonics :-) maybe I’ll give him some time to think about his life choices and maybe later he’ll give me some keepers ;-)

Some days I just have horrible luck either with getting all colts or nothing passing BA. When that happens I usually come back another day to do breeding

@silverstar probably what I should do. Or at least leave him be- because staying off all night would be torture! =))

Lol. I know it’s hard when you enjoy them so much. Maybe tack him up? Or look for more mares to pair him to later?

I tried three mares.
#1 this was her first foal. gave me a gelding.
#2 is a good breeder. gave me a gelding.
#3 is an old one I accidentally bought at some point. gave me this girl:

and by all testing I mean strict as well. I have never been able to get a AI like this ... usually I don't get that many through on a breeding.

There's nothing wrong with the stallion. It's the Random Number Generator (the great Goddess Arengee) that has had it in for you. :)) My strategy when this happens has already been mentioned--go do something else and come back to breeding another day.
