I am back from vacation!

I am back from my little vacation. Thank you Confluence for holding down the fort while I was gone and for all of you for not lighting it on fire while I was. Obviously there is a huge backlog of forum posts (and I am not going to read them)! I am catching up on the announcement threads, the bug reports, and my PM box. If it was posted elsewhere I have not, and will not see it.
Happy to be back to work on the game. :x
So did I get lots of nice rest? Absolutely not! We put an offer down on a house and started an utterly massive remodel. :O So the past few weeks have been a whirlwind of contractors, budgeting, inspections, banks, etc. We close in the middle of February and should break ground in March. So that happened! I'll tell you more about it in the newsletter later this week.Need to contact me? Read this first.

Welcome back!
We are also doing work on our house, but we are doing as much as possible ourselfes, and taking our sweet time doing it :P We bought it as a place to stay at least untill my son finishes primary school and (hopefully) make some money off when we sell it. It's from 1974, and there has not been done any real work on it since then. It came with a 70s kitchen, "marble" walls in the bathroom, tartan-patterned carpets in one of the bedrooms and a 100% pink storeroom - pink carpet included. So far we have only completed one bedroom and a new roof, and filled in the oil tank and closed it off and installed a heat pump instead. But we just bought new floors for the whole house this week, so we can finally start doing some real work when we get the time :)ID 195859 -
LOL! I've lived in my house for 17 years and the old wallpapered ceiling still has the original places where someone tried to peel it off! :P

We aren't remodeling anything, but we are starting a move. We finally got our own apartment and the moving truck is in it's way.
There will be much downsizing going on in about 2 weeks. I get everything downsized for the apartment (from a full sized house) I will them work on my barns. :) -

Welcome back! What an exciting adventure that is ahead of you.
We're going to have to do one more renovation project that wasn't planned. We are very BLESSED - we had a small house fire the Sunday before Christmas. It happened right in front of me and my husband was able to extinguish it quickly. They think lightning may have hit the power line into our home which cause the power surge. So, our living room, the only room that hasn't been updated, will need to be rewired and insulated, and new walls. We are waiting until summer where we can get ventilation before we start tear down due to my asthma.
