I need help with deciding things
-
I know a lot of other players have huge barns for just show ponies, but what's the benefit of that? Would it be more or less helpful than having a barn full of brood mares? So far I have a barn for horses I'm keeping and a barn for horses I don't mind selling; Is that good organization? Is there something I'm missing? Is it possible to do things wrong on this game?
Sorry about the sort of rant. -
Well you want most of your breeding mares in pastures since it gives them a breeding boost, but you can’t show horses in pastures. So having barns full of show horses that show every week, is beneficial by gaining points and therefore hbs.Licensed for Onyx, Watercolor, Plaid, Mushroom, Splash M, Phantom Autumn, Ice 4, Ice 16, and Chinchilla - ID: 256300

I have four large barns full of show ponies and because of that I have a daily bonus inching towards 245k! That said I've also got two barns of intacts I'm currently trying to thin down. =)) There is no wrong way to play the game, only how you personally want to play. I only have the show ponies so I can get my daily high enough to get all the GMT tokens I need.Post edited by bluchrystals at 2020-02-02 12:25:58

Show horses earn money for your stable, take up a single stall, and only cost the minimal amount of the entry fees. They also get a training bonus, so will have higher show scores than similar intact horses.
A single mare can produce up to 16 foals each of which will need stall space, at a cost of 8-16 thousand hbs or more (depending on which breeding method you use). While you can and should show any of your mares that are not in the pasture, they will likely cost more in breeding fees than they will earn back in show bonus.Breeding high quality Sheldasen horses in all the fancy colors.

If your question is about the organization itself vrs the need for show ponies, the reason a lot of us fill up barns with just show ponies is that then you can set them to show automatically twice a week and basically forget about them and let them rack up the hbs.
How you want to organize is up to you though. I have all my barns set to show automatically, and there's very little organization within them, though I'm trying, lol. Mostly I find horses using the search.Spiderweb Stables

Altered horses are literal money printers. They cost next to nothing to house and show and bring in way more than they cost and they pay for the rest of your barns expenses.
A single mare can fill a small barn on her own and if kept in a pasture her overall points will be much lower than a show horse with equal stats that is kept in a barn showing.Breeding even generation Grullos with KP, Axiom RBG & Wrong Warp, Chinnchilla, Onyx, Phantom Autumn, Bats, Ghosts, Pumpkins, Skulls & Spiders, Plaid, Watercolour genes -
I can rarely find horses for sale that have more than around 250 - 270 points; What would be a good number of starting points for a show heard?
And how many foals can there be in one pasture? -
And what messed up this mare?

Only newer players can create pointed foundation horses, all others are bred/created by players and gradually build up points by being regularly shown. most people keep horses with points for showing, though there are some that go in auctions occasionally. if you want to purchase some your best bet is making a wanted post on the forum, heaps of people usually help out with that kind og stuff! I'll add you to my chat SilverCreekFarm Sales and chuck a few pointed show ponies to help you get started!
Also, she is a blue roan appaloosa, she just got a bonus of champagne on top! Black with champagne turns them into Classic Champagne color :)HJ1: 133971 -
Having any points is a good place to start a show herd.
How many foals a pasture can have depends on the size of the pasture but storing foals in the pasture isn’t a good idea either as they can be automatically sold back to the game.Breeding even generation Grullos with KP, Axiom RBG & Wrong Warp, Chinnchilla, Onyx, Phantom Autumn, Bats, Ghosts, Pumpkins, Skulls & Spiders, Plaid, Watercolour genes -
Mine is a two stallion/sixty mare pasture.
And thanks to everyone for answering my questions. : )
@SilverCreekFarms thanks for the practically free ponies!
I think I'm going to wait a few months so that I can save up for a 1k stall barn and then slowly fill that with show ponies. Well, I'm assuming it'll take a few months.. everything really just depends on if I can somehow get 4,163,000hbs to spend while still inching towards working towards my unltimate breeding goal. I'm sure everyone else is/has been in the same place with your game.Post edited by Xzeina at 2020-02-02 14:53:59 -
There is one more i the chat for you, you were too fast for me :)) (on mobile trying to copy horse ID numbers lol) If you show them as often as possible they will gain you more points and increase thier own daily HB payout even more!HJ1: 133971

@Bandit1119 I've PMed you. : )

I like to keep all my broods in one barn so it makes it easier to organize them when moving them into pastures for the season, for example I could go down the list and select them by color, paper level, what ever then at the bottom of the page click the move to pasture button for that lot; so long as I don't click more than the pasture can hold. Also lets me have a barn to easily move them into from the pasture after they've been bred.

@WhiteVally I am signed up for the newsletter, though generally I just sell them. I kept last month's mare because she's completely perfect.
