What if you put the chocolate gene on a chocolate palomino horse, would it be a Chocolate Chocolate Palomino then? Mind blownLicensed for Mushroom,Onyx, Watercolor, Ice 13, ice 16, Phantom lace, Phantom Diamond sparkle.

Hate to burst your bubble, but nope! The chocolate gene would do absolutely nothing on a chocolate pali, so it would remain a chocolate pali. Chocolate turns black pigment into brown pigment. Red based horses (ee horses - chestnuts, palis, including liver and chocolate, gold champagne, etc) don't have any black pigment, so there's nothing for the chocolate gene to do. Chocolate only has an effect on EE or Ee horses, and only with two copies of TYRP1b.
So if you had a horse that was ee and bb, you could breed it to a horse that's EE or Ee and bb and (maybe) get chocolates, provided they did get that E from the other parentSpiderweb Stables

So are these incorrect? Just trying to understand because the gene only works off E? So these shouldn't be called chocolate?
