I rolled out new genetic testing today that should greatly improve your experience with gene testing. Test results are now broken out into 3 categories. Pigment, White Marking and Additional Info. The wild/normal type of most genes is now hidden to clarify the test results. Homozygousnormal type genes are now hidden from view but can be seen using "show all checkbox." Breaking it out like this allows us to have the name of each gene also shown to reduce confusion.

Other features include a mouseover tooltip with more info about the gene. Links to the genetic guide, fantasy, licenses, and sales limitations are now dynamically labeled via the database preventing any gene from ever being shown improperly.

I have also added smart fantasy flagging. Horses will have their fantasy flag updated every time their page is loaded meaning the fantasy flag info can no longer be out of date/incorrect.

I hate change lol, but I like that we can now see all the genes if we want. Will take me a bit longer to get used to it, I'm so used to the old view that I'm having to look carefully to find the genes I want to know about! But the colours will make it easier and can definitely see why it will be a better system. Edit to say, I don't like the words in there, it was good to have just the genes all on one line to easily see them, but I'm sure I'll get used to it

Just a quick bug I noticed, Axiom doesn't seem to be showing up in the gene test. These have only got the warp, not their axiom

Is it possible to make the font size the same as everything else on the page instead of smaller so it’s easier to read?

It is the same? Not sure I understand. Only the color key is smaller but you only need to read that like once ever.

Looks like the Axiom colors were incorrectly marked as untestable.

I noticed that this horse https://www.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=8530676
has Ice 5 which is coloured purple, but I think it should be orange because you don't need a licence for it.

Looking at it more closely, yes you are right the fonts are the same size as the smallest other font on the page. The super scripts are I think what’s hardest for me, nothing else uses that type of formatting.

This should be especially helpful for new players. I did notice that there is no explanation of Pearl for the Cream gene. Just happened to be exploring the new format on the page of a CprlCprl horse when I noticed this.

As a newish player I love this! I think it will really help me learn even more. I wish the pop-up "mouse-over" info worked a little better for mobile users (I usually play on my phone), but I'm super glad it is there.
Like @bluchrystals, I'm excited that PATN is now showing! Does this mean that we might get it added to search criteria in the future? ;;)

I am also wondering if we will get KP2. I know KP doesn't show because it is untestable, but I've noticed KP2 shows in the GMT lab so wondered if it was slightly different.
