Something truly exciting happened tonight! My application to sit for the Academy of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Technicians Exam was accepted. It was a year long application process and now I sit for the exam in St Louis in September.

I am so relieved and excited and nervous. I would like to give everyone a gift. Leave your id and I will send gifts along.

From a fellow RVT, CONGRATS! So excited for you! That is a LOT of hard work to qualify, so super stoked for you- and even more impressed! I once thought of getting my ERCC VTS years ago. BUT ended up going a WHOLE different path -(trading fur for skin) But ERCC is my fave and I do miss it sooo much! I’ll be thinking of you this September!

Congrats, and good luck! I know that emergency and critical care certifications are pretty difficult to obtain in the nursing world. I'm sure that the challenge of caring for multiple species makes veterinary certifications even more challenging! Have fun studying - you've got this!
