Auction any horse over 10 that isn't showing well enough. When they are over 10, their auction price is their lifetime payout. It will get you quick money, free up space for young showers.

A few years ago we were given a challenge contest on the other server to see how fast we could earn money as a new barn. Pointed creates came out after but I kept a log of money transactions of the 2 months before and 2 months after pointed creates were added to the game and doubled my money easily.

I ended up pretty high on the standings and my strategy was to organize my barns so that my highest pointed horses were in my extra barn and whatever was left in my primary barn (the lowest pointed horses in my herd) would get sent to the next auction.

While the auction was running I’d go and place bids on as many horses as I could afford. (At first it was only 5ish horses but the number grew as I had more money coming in)

I’d open a search page. Select for auction and sort by total points and run down the list and put a 2,600hb bid on any horse that didn’t already have a players bid on it. If it already had a bid I skipped it because that cuts into your profit and if you buy a horse for 2,600 and re-auction it for 2,500 that horse only needs to make 100hbs to cover its initial purchase price and if the horse has a daily payout of at least 14 hbs/day in a week its paid off.

Now the auction pays 2,500 for horses 9 years and younger and the total lifetime payout for horses 10 years and older. As it’s the end of the month I would buy as many 9 year olds as possible and send them back to the first auction in April and you can double or triple or more your money in a week.

After the auction resort your horses so the horses with the highest total points are in your extra barn and send the primary barns horses back to the auction. Rinse and repeat

Buy cheap mares off the sales boards (or creates) breed them and send both mare and foal to the auction for a profit (1,500-2,000 profit depending on if you pasture or hand breed)

I have too many points to make pointed creates now, and I got all my show horses from the foundation rescue when they were 9.
I guess I'll just have to be patient.

Yep I added a few smaller barns and filled them with my highest pointed horses and continued to use my primary barn as an overflow auction barn

I’m currently trying to save up for another barn. I use the forums to get high quality herd helpers, then sell any horses that I don’t want to keep for breeding. It’s really hard to wait, but it’s worth it in the long run. Until I get another barn, I won’t have room for show horses, so I make sure that every horse I keep as breeding stock is also a good show horse.

I only need 50 more IVs! Yay! I can hardly believe that I'm so close! xD
