Lol I got my hair done this weekend. 1990’s style on a stool in the kitchen.

My hairdresser told me I should touch up the colour between cuts (my hair grows super quick but I’m not always regular getting a trim since I don’t mind most lengths)

When I told my mom she pretty much told me to get my friend to dye it when I was there on vacation because she wasn’t. Well a month later it had faded out and mom commented last weekend that it needed redone and I was like well I’m not flying to my friends anytime soon and our hairdresser isn’t working. She said she’d do it, so this weekend I brought what was left of the dye. Also thanks to the virus I’d gone on a cleaning spree and in the bags of things I removed from my horse trailer for the winter I found my wahl clippers and a fresh unopened set of blades.

So she attempted to follow the cut (clip the sides and dye the top). It’s not perfect but it feels way better

At the end she’s like I’m texting Connie (our hairdresser) to tell her her job is safe with us

My hair is white with some dark grey on the top that stubbornly refuses to turn white. I go for the Dame Judy Dench look and have it cut every 6 weeks. I'm going to have to get some hair clips or something once it starts getting in my eyes. Bandit, your story was hilarious - I hope your mum texted your hairdresser a picture. At least she'll be relieved to still have a job!

Bluchrystals - that's brilliant what you are able to do. I did think about helping someone out but unfortunately the exchange rate is pretty bad right now. I shouldn't really have spent so much on myself to be honest, but I definitely do feel better and I'm looking forward to breeding season.

I'll be able to go out again at the weekend assuming I don't get ill (unlikely) so things are looking up.

For anyone struggling with color I toughly recommend Overtone. It's a highly pigmented conditioner. Far more forgiving than dye so things still turn out looking nice even when you are too incompetent to do proper dye application. (Aka are me) It's the only way I can maintain my hunter vest orange hair.
