What's worth more/more marketable?
-
Light medium or heavy boned horses?
Let's take a vote
I like heavy myself, but it seems the majority of gmt projects I've seen are light boned -
It seems that light boned have a more visible trend on Bluegrass and heavies are more visible on Forest. When I first started a year ago Light bones weren't very popular, but they've gained strides since then. Everyone breeds and buys according to their own preference. Try a few of each size yourself or use the search page to find the one that is most pleasing to you.Post edited by bluchrystals at 2020-04-01 08:09:15

It's all personal taste.

I love my medium horses, if I get straws/eggs it doesn’t matter if they are light or heavy it's not hard to get a medium foal. If I'm selling straws/eggs it’s not hard for others to get ether light or heavy foals.
But it's all about what you like not what others like ;)

I prefer medium, and sell straws to both breeders of heavy and light horses, but I don't breed for selling, I breed only for myself, and sell straws/eggs when I have the time :)Post edited by Herzeloyde at 2020-04-01 02:04:39

I prefer heavy and medium. I don’t really like the heads of light horses.I’m autistic and I struggle with any kind of communication, so I apologize in advance if I say anything rude or offensive because there’s a 99% chance that I have no clue I did it. I appreciate your patience with me!

I prefer medium and light not a huge fan of those chunky legs lol ( for Ammit ) I grew up with WarmBloods and Hunter Ponies doing Dressage and 3 day eventing ; the " heavier " ponies had a hard time keeping up on the Hunt courses as well as the Indoor Jump rings ( imo its the stocky legs ) while cute they just didn't fit the forms I rode and so my preferences grow with that :)Post edited by annismyrph at 2020-04-01 07:03:25

It is better to say why you like what you like, instead of what you don't like. :)Need to contact me? Read this first.
I sometimes get busy and miss things. If your private message, question, etc. gets missed please ping me so I can follow up with you. I am also always happy to explain or clarify. (HAJ does not have a customer service email, please send me a forum message! )

I’m sorry, Ammit. I meant that I like the appearance of heavy and medium. If I said something offensive, I apologize.I’m autistic and I struggle with any kind of communication, so I apologize in advance if I say anything rude or offensive because there’s a 99% chance that I have no clue I did it. I started out with horses of each type. My very first horse on the game was a medium pony. I liked all of them for different reasons, but eventually I decided I liked the way all the colours and patterns looked on the light horses best.
Medium was definitely the dominant favorite when I started so I was a bit of an oddball when I switched to light horses. But they seem to have gained popularity. :D
Community preferences are constantly changing so try a little bit of all the types until you find the one you enjoy breeding best! -
None of them are worth more than any of the others.Need to contact me? Read this first.

I prefer Riding Horses all day, but I’ve only owned Arabians in RL lol
-
I like all bone types and I love either the short ponies and breeding super tall riding horses.
-
I prefer heavy, and smaller, but not sure there is any great trend for any particular body style on either server. Breed what makes you happy!
-
I started off with heavy on this account way back (I say way back but it was only just over 2 years ago :)) Feels like forever) and I liked them, the fluffy legs and big ol' bellies, then on my secondary account (which has since been merged) I did strictly medium warmbloods and enjoyed them too! I love that the warmbloods have a larger variety of tack items to use (like body clips and breast collars)
I went to riding horses just before the Egyptian tack pack came out and that's probably the only reason I stick to riding horses now since it looks so good in my opinion!
The only thing I haven't bred are ponies, one day I'll start a pony line :))
Overall it's like color, height, and markings, it's your preference. Find what you like! This is definitely the game for experimenting :) -
I have a mix of ponies and horses. My favorite are the short horses so the ponies help me keep my horses short. :p
-
I prefer warmbloods. I’m used to a more quarter horse look in real life so that probably plays into what like on the game. Honestly it’s a matter of personal preference.
-
I just like them all! But I'm sort of trying to separate lines; my fantasy horses are mostly medium or heavy, my snowflakes are all bone types, my GP's are mostly ridings and warmbloods and so on xD But all must be tall!
It is really a matter of preference. And it is okay to start over after a while if you want to go a totally different route (either color wise or bone wise). As long as you enjoy what you do!HJ1 160524
