we ve got the tomatoes started and we are trying Okra and red leaf lettuce for the first time ; and next to the mini rose bush I planted a potato ( just to see what would happen )

That sounds wonderful! I'm in an apartment currently, so I get very excited when I hear that others are able to work in their gardens :)

we bought the house 3 years ago and both work so much to support it neither of us had time ; well this past fall I wrecked my back so no more work for me ; and he is home due to the covinonsense so he can shovel and break up the dirt for me :) some good out of all this ickiness
