Interesting Foal
-
I'm new to the game and am more interested in the breeding aspect. That being said, I just bred this lovely foal that's out of a Perfect Foundation stallion and Top Notch Producer mare. He had to be gelded. I spent 2,500 hbs to breed him. He should be an excellent shower given his breeding. Since I am focused on breeding and already have another gelding, I would like to sell this one so I have more available space in my barn.

I'd be willing to buy him.
However, it's a good idea to have show horses in your barn. One of the best ways to make money is through showing. Of course, you can show your breeding stock as well, I do, but neutered horses gain an advantage in training. The more horses you show, the more points they will gain from where they place in a class (all but the last horse in the show get at least half a point), and every week at rollover, when we are payed, we get a Showing Bonus currently equal to 50% of the total number of points all the horses in your barn at the time. It can take a while when you are just starting out, but it's a good goal to work toward.
However, this is a game that you can play anyway you like, within the rules, so if you really want to sell him, go ahead. -
Thank you so much for your advice. It's too late for me to take him off market, since he is at auction. I will definitely keep this in mind for the future.
If I was to buy an older horse with lots of horse show points, would I get that credit towards my hbs? Or is it only the time that you own them, that you get that bonus?
I appreciate your comments very much. This seems to be a friendly community!Thanked by 1Ammit -
The showing bonus counts your current horses lifetime points. So all the horses points count towards the bonus but if you yum, sell, auction or the horse passes on, its points are removed from the count.Breeding even generation Grullos with KP, Axiom RBG & Wrong Warp, Chinnchilla, Onyx, Phantom Autumn, Bats, Ghosts, Pumpkins, Skulls & Spiders, Plaid, Watercolour genes
