Is selling back barns worth it?
  • I have 10-12 empty 15 stall barns. I'd like to combine them into as few barns as possible but it looks like I'm going to lose a lot of IVs in the process. Especially because the buy back price doesn't seem to change with the added percentage for buying more. Is it worth it? Does it make your game life easier or do y'all just keep your small barns? I'm not great with math is there a way to do it to save as many IVs as possible?
    Thanks!
  • The sell back price is based on what you paid for them. If you purchased them before that amount was recorded then it will factor in the over 1000 stall percentage as well.

  • I roll my daily bonus into IV as soon as I earn enough : it keeps me from spending for horses I really " don't need " but want / like
i also use my small barn to help me sort ; my OCD is like that ; IE ; if i have a bunch of stud foals , i ll use a small barn for " Stud Eval" or if there is a nice batch of appy's ; i l use it for them to let them grow up a bit and see what they look like / show at in a month or two

  • Ooooh that's a good point I do like to sort out small groups like that sometimes. Now you've got me thinking... :))
  • I have my barns all sorted by generations and show horses lumped together in thousand stall barns.

On HJ1 I sold all my smaller barns beck years ago and invested in 210 and 1000 stall barns. On HJ2 I have a hodge podge of barn sizes and sort the generations into barns that fit their numbers.

But on both games I use the search for all of my sorting, culling, and breeding needs so it really wouldn’t matter what size of barn they’re in as long as they’re appropriately named for their generation (to narrow down the search)
Breeding even generation Grullos with KP, Axiom RBG & Wrong Warp, Chinnchilla, Onyx, Phantom Autumn, Bats, Ghosts, Pumpkins, Skulls & Spiders, Plaid, Watercolour genes
  • I gave up on organizing my barns lol I sold EVERYTHING back (I had well over 150 barns) and i invested in five 1000 stall barns and just chucked everything in where it would fit :)) I like to let chaos reign. My pastures, on the other hand, are very organized :D

Me too! Most of my horses are unevenly lined so I can't really sort by generation, but that gave me a great idea for the new Mesa server!

Thats what I've been doing now, chucking anything where it will fit, no organization! Complete chaos :))
  • I've gradually been moving from 90/120 stall barns to 210 stall barns for my show strings so my stable doesn't feel so cluttered.

I do have 60 stall barns for my stallions and 3/2 year old mares waiting to be assigned to their respective pastures. I also have a barn for stud prospects.
