I feel like I've been doing all I can to scrape together enough hbs for a new barn, but I'll still be at least 400k short by June 30th.
I was planning to have my new barn by/before July 1st, but at the moment it looks like I'll have to wait until August to get it.
I'm not worried about the monies, I'm just impatient and a little disappointed.

I play with tack while waiting to have enough HB's to get what I want ; are all your horses tacked up and ready ?
I also re sort barns and pastures to get an idea of what I am breeding next month

I'll try the playing with tack thing, thanks; my barns are already sorted, and I usually don't have horses in the pasture unless I'm currently breeding or just need to use the space.
Also, I don't plan on breeding at all next month; all horses will be up for brood. I'll have around 700 mares up for brood at 2k each.

It looks like a lot of your horses haven't been gene tested ; am sorry but I at least would not breed to them unless I knew exactly what genes they had, in order to make sure they matched my program. You might want to take a minute and do that before putting them up for brood. I know a lot of people breed liver chestnut, appy's and dun ; but they will want to know if a mare is Het or Hom to ensure they get what they want also

I don't have the patience to save up for large barns and there aren't any discounts with buying barns in bulk. I have just been saving 125k at a time and buying 30 stall barns to grow my herd!

I do similar to LadyHawk except I buy 60 stall barns at a time. Typically 1 per season. Then, occasionally, I sell barns back and buy bigger ones instead.

I did research to find out what color horses I want. I would go through the search and forums to explore until I found out how each gene worked and what I really wanted. I breed Arabs in rl, so RHs are obviously my preference, although I don't strictly stay with them. Then I started culling anything that didn't fit my criteria. I was able to do the foals month to month, but I did need help going through my established pastures. Thanks @Ammismyrph!

If you gene test, then I'd be more than willing to use some of your girls, but like Anni said, I don't breed to none gene tested outside horses.

Depends on what I want the barns for and how badly I need the space. I don't sell barns back since that doesn't seem even break even profitable, so I'll pass on that.

Sorting barns, I don't mind having the smaller ones for sorting foals. Lots of 15s there. I like it because it doesn't seem so overwhelming to only have 15 babies on a page instead of 300. Haha.

Show barns, I want the mega. Saving up for my next 1k right now.

BIG SMILE ; the nicest thing about helping you @Kamar ; was a lot of your " not in breeding program " were IN mine lol; also I WOULD be using those pastures as you get a bonus at 15 days and again 30 days to the foals ; I ve noticed higher PT scores and somewhat better BA by leaving my mares in the field @Xzeina

@Annismyrph the pasture bonus increases every day and maxes out at 30 days. There isn’t a jump at 15 and 30 days.

@Xzeina As for patience the more horses you have the less time you have and you will wish you had extra time to sort through them.
