These are a few of my favorites this season. So far at least, I've still got one more 2G pasture and my bootstrap pastures as well as regular LCs. But these three are so pretty.

This is the first foal I am happy with so far, but I've only been breeding my C Stallion pairs (and non-GMT projects) so loads more exciting to come.

2G Nine Whiteouts
This filly is pretty simple, but she papered Superior to her Dam and is so close to my standard benchmark for B/Red crosses that I decided to keep her anyway.

@Michae ; on Sunday you will get some HB's from the game ; also with your own bred foals ; if you put them in auction they will earn you 2500 min each ; if you only test horses you are sure you will keep until you get some HB's saved ; that might help

@annismyrph the reason I'm testing everything that I breed is that I want to see what genes they have. Only then will know if I want to keep them or not.Besides if I like them or not.

@Michae I am suggesting you wait on doing the BA Testing ; that costs 1K ; definitely do the gene testing ; if they fit your criteria then do the BA, that why you can save some HB's until you get a nest egg

I've gotten a bunch of really shiny ones out of my DP Pearl line- several are ending up as show horses, but I'm ok with that!

I love this color! I'm going to have to incorporate more dun into this herd.

I also got a whole bunch of pearls Im super excited about. Moving mares that I will no longer use out of pasture to make room for new horses. I did do an oopsie and breed everything in pastures again. Cost me a fortune haha. Ended up snipping an entire crop of foals from a stallion that I put in a pasture that he did nothing for... not sure why I had put him there...

I've only done a couple of breedings as I'm saving up hbs to pay off for genes from the RGS on my huge expensive project boy. He's looking prettier by the week at this point. :x

@OopsDotCom Pearl is in the Roving Gene Sale, but you don’t need a license for it. That is, it’s not a licensed gene. :)

Search for pearl as the color name in auction and pick some up or via private sale and you could save the $ for a closed gene unless you have the perfect horse to put it on! I think I have some het pearls I could part with if you wanted to do it that way.

Breeding Advice (BA) and Strict Breeding Advice (SBA) is free
Performance Testing is 500hbs
Breeding Inspection (papering) is 1,000hbs, but I think that's an upgraded feature, so Michae you might not have it anyway. SBA is also an upgraded feature.

So testing and saving money - if you run everything through BA (and SBA, if you have it) right away, which is free, that cuts out a lot of the ones that aren't worth breeding and costs nothing. Then you only have to gene test the ones that pass that. And Performance Testing doesn't actually tell you anything about the horse as a breeding prospect, just as a showing prospect. A horse's PT score shows how good that horse will be for showing, but it makes no difference for breeding. So if you're testing your foals for breeding horses and trying to save hbs, you can just skip the PT test completely and it won't hurt anything. Papering tells you a lot more about your horse as a breeder, so if you have that and can afford to run it it helps

@OopsDotCom it's a gene you can buy to add to horses, but it's not restricted, so once it's on a horse anyone can buy it whether they've paid to add it to a horse or not.

YIKES out of 917 foals this season I ended up with 52 intacts. Focused way more on my 4g and 5g ponies, flushing nearly every 4/5g mare I have and made many many embryos :O

So I bred 93 foals this year from my main lines (7 foals died), I'd say 50% were intact although I spelded anything that was AGA. Thought I'd give some stats as I'm a relatively small breeder but may be useful for some people. My mares are a mixture of Yellow and Red papers.
