Just a friendly reminder for the Gift Exchange.
-
I got permission from Ammit to go ahead and post this here aswell, for anyone who doesn't use the Facebook group.
I just want to post a little reminder to make sure we are saying thank you when receiving gifts, and try to avoid saying things on public posts about wishing you could get more stuff. I am super thankful for being able to do the gift exchange this summer along with being able to do it for Christmas :x I think we all really needed this during the hard times the last few months.
Ammit has also posted on my Facebook post this -
"There will be a place for both the giver and the receiver to review the experience and people who post greedy rude comments will not be allowed to progress in the exchange. There will finally be a proper accountability system"
I 100% support ammit doing this and I look forward to it being posted. We need to review things like this, especially in hopes to prevent negative comments such as what I've witnessed lately.
Bottom line, be thankful, say thank you, and don't complain on posts about not getting enough / expecting people to go overboard on you. The whole purpose of the gift exchange is to have fun and make others happy.Previously known as "lethalximpulse". -
I agreed there and I ll agree here ; this community is so very much a family ( occasionally dysfunctional but hey whose isn't ) ; we need to remember to be thankful for what we have and gracious regarding gifts given ; over board shouldn't be expected ; but all gifters SHOULD be thanked

I haven't seen any comments about people being ungrateful but wholeheartedly support Ammit with this, the gift exchange has been a lot of work.
I've sent almost everything to my gifty now so can sit back and relax and keep checking my barns, inbox and everywhere else with the excitement of a 5yr old at Christmas for when my gifts arrive. :))HJ1: 266615

Well stated. Thank you for helping us all stay in the spirit of the season.

Agreed! I’m very grateful for the thought my SS has put into everything. :)
