I signed up for the gift exchange and have had a great time picking out gifts and sending them my giftee. However I have not gotten anything and was wondering if anyone else had this problem?

It can happen sometimes. If they totally ghost you they will be banned from ever participating again. I know the lady flamingo squad will be thrilled to spoil some folks. You will be taken care of, but I know it sucks so much to feel forgotten.

I would be interested in that, if maybe there was a pool of people who didn't receive anything.

I also wonder if it would be useful to see our original requests when reviewing the experience, so that it is based on the wish last as well as the received? But I don't know if that would be too complex or not.

I haven't yet either, actually. Maybe our gifters were waiting for open exchange for some reason? We'll find out, I guess!
It's a little discouraging, but it happens. I'm not too worked up about it. Honestly, if I do get ghosted this time I'm fine with it, because we can use that to make the exchange better for everyone in the future!

Today is also the first day for open gifting.

I know I personally always wait until it’s time to reveal myself to start sending things otherwise in a few months I’ll come across eggs/straws or horses in my barns that were supposed to be gifts (I have over 9000 stalls so it’s easy for a horse to get stuck in the wrong barn without realizing it) even though for the most part I keep good records of what I bought and where it’s going some do slip through without being recorded.

I’d be interested in helping if anyone is putting together a flamingo list; I am pretty sure my recipient in the under $25k category ghosted, as they hadn’t logged in since May, and I would love to send some stuff to whoever their recipient was.

I waited until today to start the majority of my gift giving, chiefly because almost every horse I am planning to give was one that was created by me, so it would be a bit difficult to be anonymous. *G*

I did slip a 60 stall barn into that stable earlier, though, so that the recipient would have a place to put all the horses.

Would it be possible when the whole exchange is done to create a thread for people who participated but didn't receive anything? Maybe they can post what they put in their questionnaire so people can contribute what they can. I'd love to help out and give, but I'd want to make sure that I was giving things that could actually be used.

I'm in the same boat... well, I received one horse last week that was basically not what I had put in my suggestions and isn't even something I breed for. I'm trying to be at least somewhat grateful, but it sucks when you put a lot of effort into it and then hardly get anything from your gifter. Maybe I'll get something else sent my way this week...

@CrimsonHill there is always something to be grateful for.

My gifter made me laugh as they sent me an RS mare that they had picked up from me just a couple of days beforehand, definitely could use more laughter in my life. :))
