Age and Breeding Junk
-
I have multiple age and breeding questions:
1) What age do horses die at?
2) What age can horses start showing?
3) How long is a mare pregnant for?
I might have more questions later. -
I think they can pass away as early as 17 or 18 but some live to be 23...Someone please correct me if this isnt correct.
They can start show their yearling year, but the good show horses are usually between 7-13 yrs old. However, some of the babies show really well, it just depends on their PT and their showing ability
A mare is pregnant for as long as it takes the mouse to click the breed button and the page to refresh with the foals image. A mare cannot breed until she is 4 yrs old (studs 3 yrs old) and can only be live covered once a breeding season (ever 2 months in real life). If you pull eggs from her, then she can have several babies in one season. -
I believe when they turn 18 they have a 25% chance of passing away. And you will get an alert telling you on your home page.ID - 160680
