He is a Candy Appy Draft (so a size GMT), but is hom for Sty and brown, 16.2hh, none/light white factor, het/hom LP, and het DP on both brindle DNAs. Id sell him for 100k if youd like :)

@annismyrph that's just the game! I love scouring the auction for good deals and flipping them for market price. Especially with that Candy Appy having DP on each side. @bravo25 does a great job with that, they always find the good deals and list according to the current market.

@LadyhawkeStables, no, bravo does not do a good job of that. bravo intentionally underbuys from people who don't know better and then oversells (also usually to people who don't know better). And that's not just the game, hence that so few people do that. Allow me to explain.

Candy Appies have a market value of around 15k. Maybe a little more if they have PATN1, or are otherwise particularly appealing to someone. I know this because I actually pay attention to the market, on multiple platforms and over a period of time, rather than checking what's sitting on the sales board and not selling because it's overpriced and then calling that 'market price'.
So even if you try to do some math here: 15k, plus 9k for the points, plus another 15k just for the DP (which is generous, btw), you get 39k. Less than half what bravo's trying to sell him for. If I needed a horse like this, I'd maybe pay 40k for him, since he's got the DP and looks to be low varnish too. But I'd be extremely hesitant to do that in this case even if I didn't know bravo's habits, because of where this horse came from. bravo bought him in auction from someone who's been playing just over three months. Don't you think, if this horse is really worth 100k (or even 40k), the newbie who created him should maybe be told that, rather than that 100k going to someone who's been playing for three years and has the kind of daily bonus that means that 100k isn't going to make or break their breeding month by any means? Many people who have been playing for a while won't sell a good deal for more than we paid. We pass on the good deal if we're not going to use it. Or, as mentioned the last time we had this conversation, we send the newbie the difference between what they charged and what their horse was actually worth, along with a message explaining why. In bravo's position, I would charge the horse's current lifetime payout, just to make up for the points. Or less, for a newbie. We all work hard to create a community here that is welcoming and supportive of each other and new players. One of the things many of us love so much about H&J is that it's not the kind of game where people are out for themselves. So much of it is cooperative. Your main source of income in this game is your showing bonus, which is not made off of other people. You don't have to do stuff like this to be successful in this game. In fact, it likely hurts you in the long run. bravo is on several people's lists of players to never do business with because of stuff like this.

@bravo25, do you know WHY you managed to sell a Candy Appy for 125k in the past? Cuz I do. I actually talked to the newbie who got the short end of that stick. They thought it was a candy pony. They thought they were paying that for a GMT. Reasonably, they couldn't think of any other reason a basic brown appy would be sold for that much. I couldn't figure out why either, when they asked me, until I looked at who they bought it from. I explained to them the difference between a candy pony and the Candy Appleloosa herd helper and told them how to tell if the GMT token is still attached, and they were a bit disgruntled at being taken advantage of, but were too nice to make a stink about it. That's why you sold a Candy Appy for 125k.

You get 'flack' for overselling because you've been playing long enough to know better, and when people point it out politely you take offence instead of listening. Hence that people stop being polite.

A word on the auction and 'market value': the auction is the basis of market value. If nothing else, a horse is worth 2,500 in the auction, and if they're worth more, they'll often sell for more. And yes, you can frequently get good deals in the auction, but realistically? If a certain herd helper is consistently selling in auction for a particular price, that is the market value. The auction is part of the market, not something that magically exists outside it. The market in this game is complex and and ever-changing and challenging to keep up with, which is why it's important to listen when other players tell you that you're overpricing

@bravo25 Thank you for the offer on the Candy Apple HH, he's lovely but would need at least two flaxens removed on top of changing his build, and I am pretty sure I want to make hidden snowflake (no appy) as my other three studs don't have appy. Perhaps FLSEquine would be interested in this one if you were looking to sell him :)

If you were hellbent on doing more than that a second copy of DP would be perfect >.< I can add the second snow through the RGS lab but don't have the hb's to add DP.

If I can pay you back in any way please let me know, I'm usually creating horses for other people but never gone as far as this!

I made the changes you requested and have put you in my buddy chat where he is waiting to be picked up. I have also sent you enough hbs for 1 GMT in case you wanted to make any small changes yourself such as removing the tobiano or making him a little bit taller. I'm not saying you have to use the hbs on him, they are for you to use as you see fit. I hope he does well for you.

@whitevalley I sent you a pm as well, I noticed the HB's after I picked him up so I switched out the tobiano for some roan and added the second snow from the RGS. :) There are a few more things I'd like to add so I'll spend the rest of the month working on him (maybe they'll be in RGS)

You are honestly amazing and it surprises me how far you went to give me what I needed for my lines - and there's probably nothing in it for you (except love from the community) <3

@Whitevalley I totally agree, I love to make ponies for other people and often invest GMT's. I don't have that kind of daily bonus but I really do love to give where I can, selling horses very rarely makes any money but making friends goes a lot further in terms of game enjoyment and trading when you see you have something others need.
