Yet Another DP question!
-
I have these two that are most definitely Het DP at least but I haven't been in the DP world very long so my eye isn't great on any colors other than Livers. Are they Hom Dp? They are both very dark, but are both Hom sooty

The pally is definitely Hom DP, but I have no idea on the brown. I don't know enough about brown. Nice looking pally by the way.

@bluchrystals thank you!
-
This is my Dark Chocolate/Choc Pal mare that I made Hom DP as maybe for a reference comparison for you! Hope this helps!

Well, if we're being helpful, here's another somewhat different hom DP chocolate

First one is definitely Hom DP. I have one but don't know where she or he is.
The second one is not Hom DP. If she was Hom DP she would almost be completely black with a little brown showing on her belly. I have one that's looks pretty close to her. I think I know where he is.
Sadly his Frame is covering it up but he's Het DP.

@Taliesin The more horses I look at the better my eye will get, so it definitely helps!
@Wolvevenfrost Thanks so much, I was a bit hopeful she'd be Hom since she was pretty dark but I don't see many Hom DP Buckskins around so I wasn't sure -
Seems the minute I fall in love with a certain color, so does everyone else. ::shaking my head:: It's my luck I guess. I guess I need a mentor to help me get solid livers. Anyone knowledgeable enough and willing to guide me? Thanks in advance. -Cherynne

Pssst.
Ammit very recently put DP, KP, and GP into the results of the gene test, so we don't have to guess about or keep track of the heterozygous horses. It even shows up on the pages of the older horses at the beginning of this discussion.
:D -
Hey guys! This was posted in December before the testing came out! So no more guessing!
