Moving pastured mares?
-
Is it possible to move mares from one pasture to another without losing their breeding bonus? I just took advantage of the sale to buy several new pastures (and some new gene licenses... a couple stables... one more stable I forgot... my need to sort is going to catch up to me someday I swear...) and I'd like to move the mares in my default pasture to their named pasture but don't want to lose their 30 days. If not I'll wait until after the 5th and move them then.

Yes, you can move them within the pastures without losing their breeding bonusThanked by 1DarkwatchStables

You can move them between pastures using the move horse box on the horse's control panel, or go to the pasture you want to move them into and select them from the mare list (mares that are already in another pasture will be at the bottom of the list like this --Mare Name--). Just don't shift them into your primary barn in between pastures, or they will loose their bonus.Breeding high quality Sheldasen horses in all the fancy colors.

Thank you! I hadn't thought of those methods :)

You can move more than one at a time by holding Ctrl and clicking the different mares names.

In the list on the bottom right? I'll be honest, all my horses except a couple are just numbered and I'd have trouble remembering them with *names* much less just numbers lol. Opening them all in tabs and going that route was quicker than my swiss cheese brain trying to remember all the numbers (50 total doesn't seem like much, but my brain doesn't do the thinky thinky thing that well anymore lol)

With a premium account you can use @* (you can also add anything else in the box or multiple @* for multiple random words) in the barn page to name horses using a randomized naming system.
I usually put my generation prefix and @*
ex. JLa @* @*
All my barns and pastures are named with the same generational/ line prefixes so when I go to move horses between barns or pastures all I have to do is select all the mares wth the same prefix and drop them in the barn or pasture with the same prefixBreeding even generation Grullos with KP, Axiom RBG & Wrong Warp, Chinnchilla, Onyx, Phantom Autumn, Bats, Ghosts, Pumpkins, Skulls & Spiders, Plaid, Watercolour genes
