Helping a newbie...
  • Anyone willing to pick up this Gelding for 10,000 so I have a few Hbs to play with for the ranked specials coming up? I have only been playing a week and my free account and showing bonus (15 Hb!) just isn't going to help too much with no breeding season until July!

    Would be eternally grateful!
    Thanks ET
  • Just took him home :) I'm still a bit new myself, but another member helped me out, and that inspired me. Enjoy HAJ, and be sure to post some pictures of pretty new horses you get!

  • Thank you so much! I will be paying forward when I can :D
  • You're very welcome. He's a pretty boy, and I might turn him into a decent show horse yet!
  • Anything else I can help you with? I've got tons of stuff to tell (game related, of course)
  • Eviltwin - thanks for being forward about askin for help when you need it! :)

  • Ooooo - any kind of tips and useful info you have is greatly appreciated - what was the most useful thing you figured out when first playing?
Thanks HiLo - I've seen how helpful and supportive this community just from my week of playing, so I don't feel awkward asking, and I also don't mind asking because I anticipate being able to help others when I have built up my stables a little - this is all so exciting!
  • One of the most helpful things I've learned from this game is to be careful with your breeding. Ammit has a chart of lethal genes, which, when paired, can kill a foal. Also, to get more intact (not gelded/spayed) foals, make sure to try and breed like with like: For example, a foundation with a foundation, a second generation with a second generation, etc. That keeps their abilities fairly even. And one more thing- don't sell horses just because they can't breed. Geldings and spayed mares get a special training and showing bonus!
  • I have found the chart and will be keeping an eye on who I breed! I will be trying to build up my show herd when I have enough for a spare barn :D Thanks for all the tips :)
