Create a Rank Special contest! *winners announced*
  • I love imagining new Rank Specials so why not! :))

    To enter, name your Rank Special, create a description of your new rank special, including what the horse will be like, a quote or story or reference the name is based off, the other herd helpers used to make up the rank special, whether it would be special event only(explain on what circumstance) or no, and any reasoning behind your inspiration :x

    You can enter as many times as you'd like, the winning entry will be based off creativity and whether or not (I think) it could be an actual herd helper in the game.

    1st Place prize: 2 Clean Slate warmblood fillies and 10 straws from any stallion I own on any of my accounts (@AbsoluteWow @Couldunot @NoelMills)

    2nd Place prize: 1 consistent Clean Slate riding horse colt

    3rd Place prize: 10 Straws from any of my stallions from any of my accounts (100k value)

    **I will leave my idea as an example below**

    Rank Special: Happy Birthday
    Special Event Only
    "And I'm sure you would agree, It couldn't fit more perfectly, than to have a world party on the day you came to be, Happy birthday to you!"
    All Horses will be Perfect White Spotted Chocolate Palomino Sabino Leopard Appaloosas heterozygous for the Satin gene.

    This herd helper triggers the following primary herd helpers:
    ★Dark Chocolate
    ★Fuel To The Fire
    ★Perfect Leopard Appaloosa
    ★*theoretical* Heterozygous Satin
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    As the name suggests, this herd helper would be released on one or both of our wonderful Admins' birthdays (Ammit and/or Confluence) :)
    The Dark Chocolate herd helper helps to create the "birthday cake" look to the horses, dapples creating a vanilla sponge cake look, players may also remove the cream gene to make their "cake" a rich deep chocolate sponge cake color. The Leopard Appaloosa creates a sprinkle effect, to make the perfect birthday cake. For the ultimate funfetti cake look, players can add a second copy of satin to give those sprinkles a rainbow affect. And of course, every cake needs candles, and the Fuel To The Fire adds just that!
    I cannot wait to see everyone's ideas! This will end September 20th at rollover CDT!
  • Rank Special: Snowy Evergreens
    Special Event Only
    "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
    But I have promises to keep,
    And miles to go before I sleep,
    And miles to go before I sleep." - Robert Frost, Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening
    This herd helper triggers the following primary herd helpers:
    ★Evergreen Boughs
    ★Heterozygous Sabino
    ★Heterozygous Dense Phenomelanin
    ~~~~~
    I have an ongoing love affair with Evergreen Boughs, so why not a fancier Evergreen? However, since these are Evergreens plus stuff, they'd probably be Special Event Only. My first thought was Christmas related, but the Yule Logs (and Ashes) and Bring Back the Suns are pretty good Christmas ones already. So maybe for the first snowfall at Ammit's house every year?

    The Evergreen Boughs is for the evergreen tree.
    The Heterozygous Sabino is for the snow.
    The Heterozygous DP is for the dark and deep from the Robert Frost poem.
    "Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving." - PTerry Pratchett
    Breeder of big spot appaloosas with fantasy colors and Kit M.

  • I love the tie to the poem! I love the Christmasy HHs too :)
  • Rank Special: Blizzard
    Special Event Only
    “To appreciate the beauty of a snowflake, it is necessary to stand out in the cold," Aristotle

    This herd helper triggers the following primary herd helpers:
    ★ Song of Sleipnir
    ★ Liberation Actualization
    ★ Marzipan Stollen
    ★ (hidden gene) Heterozygous kp
    ~~~~~
    1. Song of sleipnir for a liver
    2. Liberation actualization for homozygous dp (dark liver since blizzards are hard to see through)
    3. Marzipan Stollen for appaloosa and snowflake gene
    4. a hidden heterozygous kp gene to add a little extra surprise :D could represent the force of a blizzard (wind)
    I love heavily coated snowflakes :D
  • Bumping, hoping to have at least 6 entries!
  • Rank Special: Lead in to Gold (or Alchemy? I'm bad at names!)
    Special Event Only
    "The true alchemists do not change lead into gold; they change the world into words."
    This herd helper triggers the following primary herd helpers:
    ★ Exceptionally Perfect
    ★ Catch a Blue Moon
    ★ Color With a Really Long Name
    ★ Kings Ransom
    ★ (hidden gene) Heterozygous satin
    ~~~~~

    1. Catch a Blue Moon for the greyish black starting point of lead. The frame and white can create some groovy looking patterns that remind me of sci-fi alchemists and/or their potions.
    2. Color with a Really Long Name for the appaloosa/paint markings and the rabicano, adding more ingredients into the mixture...
    3. If the mixture is right, you might get a King's Ransom! That's right, GOLD, BABY!
    4. a hidden heterozygous satin gene to add the shimmery luster to your creation!

    I'm thinking a 50/50 chance of getting lead or gold. Maybe a bad experiment leads to a half and half chimera? That would be exciting I think

    edit: added ex-per cause how can you have gold that isn't perfect lol!

    Gandalf: End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it.

    Pippin: What? Gandalf? See what?

    Gandalf: White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise.

    Pippin: Well, that isn't so bad.

    Gandalf: No. No, it isn't."

    This herd helper triggers the following primary herd helpers:

    ★ Silver Pocket Watch
    ★ Vault of Stars
    ★ KP2
    ★ Exceptionally Perfect

    ~~~~~~
    1. Silver Pocket Watch for the silver black splash as the base for the silver glass.
    3. Kit Promoter 2 to be the rain curtain dissipating and revealing the silver black.
    Blue Roan for the oceans with white 8 to fill out the drifting clouds that you would see from space. KP for patches of more translucent clouds to let you see the ocean underneath. Exceptionally perfect because well, the earth is rather exceptional as planets go, and a perfect place for life to flourish.
  • Rank Special: Wildfire
    “ But wildly, in a rush of hope,
    His heart began to beat,
    For o'er the crackling fire he heard
    The sound of horses' feet.
    `Here's help at last,' young Robert cried,
    And even as he spoke
    The squatter with a dozen men
    Came racing through the smoke.
    Down on the ground the stockmen jumped
    And bared each brawny arm,
    They tore green branches from the trees
    And fought for Ross's farm;
    And when before the gallant band
    The beaten flames gave way,
    Two grimy hands in friendship joined --
    And it was Christmas Day. ”
    (From the poem “The Fire at Ross’ Farm by Henry Lawson)
  • I am new to this game but I still want to toss a few Ideas out there just because I can.
    I was reading about horses called Knabstrupper horses. They were bred in Denmark back in 1671 when they were called "The Tiger Horses." In 1750, this royal breeding line came to an end, But they made a come back with a new bloodline in 1812. They look kind of like appaloosas but bolder in markings and the dots are stretched out. The markings are very unique. This horse would surely turn heads.
    I might name one of these horses Saber.
    I would love to see the Tiger Horses in this game however I also saw another one I love but looks really complex to create.
    The Chocolate Silver Dapple Pinto
    Every time I try to find something online about how this horse is made I fail. I do not want to say the wrong gene combination but I very much love the pictures I see of this beautiful animal and would really like to see it in the game! I feel as if they are made of pure powerful magic. Just the sight of this horse makes you feel ten feet tall and bullet proof. I could not imagine the rush one might get from riding it!
    Maybe I would name it Scotch on the Rocks.
  • Thank you everybody for entering! But the time has come, time to announce the winners!
    In 3rd place is @ChateauAlbere and their Rank Special Snowy Evergreens! I love that poem and who doesn't love a DP Sabino combo?
    In 2nd place is @Pagan and their Rank Special, Winter Solstice! The winter solstice isn't a huge event for many, but I love it when the world becomes frosted over in a white shimmery frost. The quote you used was so depictive and so was your description for the result!
    And in 1st place is @LadyHawkeStables and their Rank Special Witches Brew! This one had a bit of a personal tie to me as I have fond memories of my 6th-grade choir singing "Double Double Toil and Trouble" at our fall concert a good long time ago. And we can't forget, spooky season is just around the corner! And I think we can all agree fall has all the best herd helpers ;)
    PM me to claim your prizes :)
    Congratulations to all of the winners and thank you everyone for playing! I hope you guys all had fun getting creative and sharing ideas :x
  • Thanks for the awesome contest!! I sent you a PM :D
