What’s the difference between the 3 different versions of this game?
-
I could have sworn that I saw this answered somewhere but now I can’t seem to find the answer. So I’m just wondering what’s the difference between the 3 versions of this game? Thanks!
-
Versions? Or server's? I'm assuming you mean the servers, Bluegrass (this one), Forest, Mesa, and I think there's an orchid one? But there's no difference in them at all.
I think (probably wrong) it's because all the players on one was just too much so to be nice to the server multiple were made. Each server is it's own game, nothing can be sold, traded, or transferred between them. It allows the server(s) to not be overloaded because of this.
Although you can be on each one it's not something everyone does (although I know quite a few do) because taking care of all the horses on one (aka 1k+ horses) and then realizing your first main account (7k+ horses) has to be dealt with is just too much for some people. So usually, one server is what most people stick to.
I have two, one here (2k+ horses, a lot of work) and one on forest, though to be honest, I have neglected the one on forest so bad I'm sure I don't have any horses left in my barns anymore. It was just too much I see. The only way to find out is if you try it out yourself but I'm good with the one for now, lol.
I hope this helped at least a little bit. -
Yes I meant servers. Thank you for your answer, Appreciated!

Bluegrass (this one) is the oldest. Ammit started the second one (Forest) to be a quicker paced game because on here one HAJ year was two real months long and she tried out having one HAJ year as one month long on the new server. It was a success, but this server started to suffer because newer players didn't want to wait so long to breed their horses. It was either let this server go or make one HAJ year just one month long on here, which is what she did. The newest server (Mesa) was started in April and I'm not sure why but Wolvenfrost may be right about spreading the load across three servers. I've never heard of Orchid, there are just the three servers and each one plays just the same. The only difference at the moment is that Mesa, as the newest game, doesn't have any aged horses (the oldest are 9 years old) and no lined horses (third gen is as far as we have got) simply because there hasn't been enough time to get horses old enough.

I ve seen Orchid in some of the FB chats ; am thinking when Mesa starts to get laggy ; Orchid will open :) Ammit is always thinking ahead

Orchid is the private development server, it will never open as a regular server. Mesa is the third public server.
Yes, it is to help spread the load as databases can only handle numbers so large.Need to contact me? Read this first.
I sometimes get busy and miss things. If your private message, question, etc. gets missed please ping me so I can follow up with you. I am also always happy to explain or clarify. (HAJ does not have a customer service email, please send me a forum message! )
