I try and keep 3 show horses for every 1 breeding horse.

I was in a similar predicament to yourself a few game years ago and really stopped read the user guides about making money and made the descision to sacrifice a couple of breeding seasons for the future good of my lines.

I stopped buying infusions and barns and GMTs with real life cash.

I bred a very small select few horses, stopped yumming and selling horses I didnt like and started gelding and spaying and keeping everything instead. I dont get rid of a single horse! (Apart from Rank specials others will value more than me).

I started buying 1 IV each week from my weekly pay to fund future show barns. I didnt spend a cent of my pay for those first two game years on anything except breeding a small select group. I hoarded every cent to fund the next breeding season.

I free test all foals, then geld and spay the ones that I dont want to breed from and then do the paid tests on the ones I want to breed, saving huge amounts not testing show animals unnecessarily.

Four game years later I have over 100k weekly bonus. It now doubles every game year as my stable progresses and grows and I have more money than I need to breed and test everything to splurge on whatever I feel like.

This is a long term game, it takes many game years to build a successful barn.
