Private Treaty Breeding for Premium Members | No breeding rules allowed on the public list anymore
-
Introducing Private Treaty Breeding
How Private Treaty Breeding works.
If you have a premium upgrade go to. Community >> Buddy List. Add the id number of any user you would like to be on your buddy list. Then select the horses to stand for private treaty from the Private Treaty Breeding section and set a price.
From then on until you remove the horse anyone on your buddy list can breed to that horse, regardless if it is up for public breed or not. (Be sure to remove the horse if this was a one time only breeding)
This is a brand new feature and rather complex. I have tested it to the best of my ability, but I would give this a few weeks before you rely on it 100%. Use it with members you really trust for a bit on non ultra special horses.
->Add yourself to your own buddy list and be able to live cover your own horses with out putting them up public.
->Private Treaty Breeding horses stay on the list until you remove them. They do not get taken down during season changes.
Just a note right now Private Treaty horses always show on the members public page and always show a for breeding button. I am still working on that. It doesn't let you breed during the off season or after a mare is already bred but it looks like it will. Just know that is on the still needs finished list.No more breeding rules on the public list
Just like with public sales the public breeding list is for everyone. Just like it says in the rules. You can not make restrictions or regulations about who can breed to your horse, what kind of horse they can breed to it, what testing they have to do, what they have to do with the foal etc.
Please do not ask me a ton of questions about "is this specific thing ok." If you have to ask you already know it is borderline. Don't make it a problem with other members and it won't be a problem with me. You do NEED to remove any rules you have on your stallion/mare pages ASAP though. There is no getting in trouble for it yet but they are now against the rules and there may be punishments someday. Why is this change happening?
The number one source of drama and conflict on this site is breeding rules. Removing the option to start fights over it and giving people a way to breed privately will solve the issue.Post edited by Ammit at 2016-07-03 08:31:53Need to contact me? Read this first.
I sometimes get busy and miss things. If your private message, question, etc. gets missed please ping me so I can follow up with you. I am also always happy to explain or clarify. (HAJ does not have a customer service email, please send me a forum message! )

Thank you Ammit! It's so cool to see my suggestion become a new feature! I am hopeful that it will help resolve a lot of the drama we have experienced in the past.
I am looking forward to testing it out and using frequently it down the road!Imation Stud ID# 2609

Thanks, Ammit. Even linked to the buddy sale list, this is an amazing step forward. I, too, am looking forward to trying it out.

Make sure you update your stud notes NOW. I am seeing a lot of studs on the breeding list that have rules. I am going to start removing those as I see them and if I do you will also lose any other notes you have on that horse, including your comparison testing notes etc. so fix your notes!Need to contact me? I do have a question - if I put a stallion on private breeding list then use him in a pasture, does that remove him from the private breeding list and I would have to enter him into the list again?

The only thing that removes a horse from your private breeding list is to take him off yourself. (Or sell it)Need to contact me? Read this first.
