Thought this little story might be amusing! This happened in my high school English Literature class.

Teacher: *uses weird analogy that I’m paying absolutely zero attention to until I hear this* And when the ponies grow into horses-
Me:*raises hand*
Teacher: Yes, Name?
Me: Mr. Name, ponies aren’t baby horses...
Teacher: *jaw drops open and stares at me*
Me: ...
Teacher: ...
Me: ...Um, Mr. Name?
Teacher: ...Ponies aren’t baby horses?
Me: No, they’re not...
Teacher: ...Name, you just shattered my world.
Class: *bursts into laughter *

Sounds similar to the time I corrected my 5th grade teacher on how to pronounce Galapagos :))

My 3rd grade teacher tried to tell me that horses Whine-ied, not whin-ied. I didn't like her for a variety of reasons, but this is one I remember almost 50 years later!

My Husband was bred and born in the South ; Georgia to be more "exact" ; he was raised that "ponies" were in fact foals ; took me YEARS to convince him otherwise ; becuase you see "ponies" are just "little" horses LOL
