Scared and Alone
-
I don't usually air my problems to anyone but I feel so alone right now. I had a serious health episode at the beginning of the month. I ended up being kept overnight at the University Hospital and given 2 units of blood and 2 units of fluids. To say I'm seriously anemic right now is an understatement. I've been ordered complete bedrest for awhile until I build up my blood a bit. Yesterday I had a biopsy done to see if we can find what caused this. Now, I'm in pain, exhausted, and weak as a kitten. I don't know what I would do without this game. I spend most of my awake-time here since my hubby works. I find out in 2 weeks what the results are. I'm trying not to worry about it. But I can't help it. I'm not looking for sympathy. It was a hard decision to even post this. I'm just looking for a few friends to 'talk' to here. We can talk about our breeding goals or this seasons foals or whatever. I just want to set my mind on something besides the constant worry.
-
Are you planning to take part in the Gift Exchange? It can be a great deal of fun and it takes up a lot of thinking time, even when you are not actually online.
I know a lot of you young people are online constantly and know when things pop up in the game. I am a bit of a dinosaur and use a laptop so I'm not on here all the time to 'chat' I'm afraid, but I do come on here every day (I'm late on here today because I've been out all day).
I won't tell you not to worry because it's natural to do so, and I'm a worrier myself. In the meantime, tell me where in the world you live and something good about the area.
:)Thanked by 1DragnFly -
What are you breeding for currently? Who are some of your favorites that you've bred, and some projects you're working on or have on the back burner?
You're welcome to PM me, or just chat here!
I'm so sorry you're on bed rest, but I hope your test results come back with a definitive, easy-to-deal-with answer.Formerly OscarWildin

Thank you all!
WhiteValley, I'm in East Tennessee, in the Smoky Mountains. It's beautiful here. Generally not too cold in the winter (not much snow, either) but it can be hot here in summer. Our mountains protect us from much of the really bad weather year round. I love it here. I haven't entered the Gift Exchange yet, since I really don't know how things will go here. I'd love to join, though, since I love helping others!
OscarWildin, I am trying to focus on my liver appaloosa riding horses. I keep getting sidetracked and delving into things like dfp2 and the phantom genes, lol. I gifted myself the new ice 20 this morning. I'll be playing with it this next season. I love the way it looks on liver.
annismyrph, I love reading the group postings there! It makes me feel less alone to see such friendships there. I'm usually not much of a poster, but lately, feel the need to reach out and communicate with others, lol. I can't promise to talk as much as others but I'll jump in more often.

We are glad you're here! I LOVE your dragonfly picture! So simple, and classy!

I've never been to the Smoky Mountains but I hear that they're really beautiful - I live near the Rocky Mountains and the views are fantastic, especially in the summer for hiking (although you do have to watch out for bears!). I'm no photographer, but here's one of my favourite views, https://imgur.com/a/TaloyeN
I'm working on a liver line myself but really struggling to decide what direction to go in - there are so many interesting combinations to go with! I find myself really liking the effect of Cream/Pearl but also like the look of classic liver chestnut... might have to give appaloosa a try now too!
I'm studying mostly from home these days so I'm often around if you ever want to talk about HaJ goals or riding in real life or what not, either here or in PMs. Whatever helps! I know I'm glad I found this game and the great community it has, which definitely helps take the edge off of stressful times.ID #265959 | He/him | Breeding Black Satin, Liver, and Grullo Arcturus Horses | Licenses: Mushroom, DFP2, Onyx, Axiom Blue and Green -
I'm so sorry to hear you're having a tough time, we are all here for you! If you're on facebook join the Hunt and Jump Official Discussion group there as well, there are SO MANY people out there that are great to talk to.
I sent you some straws that I think will match what you're looking for, if you want any eggs or straws let me know and I can hook you up. I breed a lot of different stuff and have a lot of assets in this game, I think I'm insane at this point lol.
I've been through the Smoky Mountains but never stayed long enough to enjoy them, when I got married we talked about a honeymoon to Pigeon Forge but we never got that far. I live in flat WI but have been to Denver to visit family and I just love the mountain views and how wild the land feels. -
Thank you!
ConfluenceStable, I have had that image for a very long time. Dragonflies are fascinating and beautiful to me! Almost everywhere I go, I see at least one. I wanted something simple so I decided to go with that image. I love it.
CrowsnestRidge, That view is just gorgeous! We have a few dramatic views around here, too, if you can get through all the people lining up to see them, lol. The only complaint I have breeding liver apps is when they varnish out. My beautiful dark livers become patchy grays, lol.
Ichigo, Oh, gracious! I love the stallions you chose! Thank you SO much for the straws. Once I complete my comparison testing on all my lined horses, I'll figure out just the right ladies to help me with those. Oh, I'm gonna have son fantastic babies for sure! I try to avoid Pigeon Forge because of the traffic. Way too many people! If it weren't for back roads I'd never get anywhere! -
My wife loves dragonflies, too. She believes they are a sign of hope.

I've been working on a liver line too! I sent you a few straws from a foundation stallion I have that has produced some gorgeous Appaloosas. He had one colt who turned out perfectly leopard with flaxen points, and he's so pretty.
I actually live in Kentucky, so not too far from you. I've driven through Tennessee more times than I can count though, and it's a beautiful state.Formerly OscarWildin

CrowsnestRidge - your picture was lovely so I googled images of the Smoky Mountains. Dragnfly - the pictures of the scenery are lovely, I particularly like the stunning views taken during autumn. Did you get some spectacular colours this year? The weather in the UK has been mild this autumn and the leaves have stayed on the trees longer than usual. Although we don't get the absolutely gorgeous displays you see in the USA and Canada, we certainly got some long lasting colour this year. Autumn is my favourite time of the year and, as I like knitting, I made a scarf inspired by the season's colours.
Post a picture of your Ice 20 horse and tell us what you plan to cross it with. I really hope things look up for you soon. You belong to a great community on here, it's our mission to cheer you up and distract you. :DThanked by 1DragnFly -
Oh my, I'm sorry to hear that, definitely hoping for some conclusive results for you! I know medical problems are hard to deal with (especially now with Covid) and hospitals can be a scary place too, unfortunately I have had my own experiences with them(and still am currently). When I was a child my condition had gone from bad to worse and I had to be rushed to the hospital because my organs were shutting down on me and spend a month there, very scary when your a kid and I can't imagine its much different for you. Though I did have my mom there with me! I have been in and out of hospitals since then, though I think I have been in more than ever now with everything going on lol! Just remember that you are not alone here and will always have someone to talk to if you need it! :x >:D< Hope you are well sooner then later and rest up! :)
Ps. I too also love dragonflies! Most amazing insects ever!Post edited by HorseAngel at 2020-11-21 08:26:00Celestial Angels, The Balinor Breed! We Specialize In Riding Horses & Ponies!

ConfluenceStables, she's right, lol. In the Pagan faith dragonflies are a sign of new beginnings and hope for brighter things.
OscarWildin, I can't wait to see the foals he sires with these! He's beautiful! We love visiting the Kentucky Horse Park! My most favorite place to visit!
WhiteValley, We got quite a spectacular leaf show this year. This is my favorite time of year, seconded by Spring. Here's my liver Ice 20 boy: https://www.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=11412109. I'll try him with a good variety; appie, paint, spotted, solid. See which nicks produce the best looks.
HorseAngel, My hubby doesn't leave my side at the hospital, lol. He is my best support! Sounds like you've had quite the time of it, Stay safe an healthy!
I slept about 15 hours today then had to get up to eat. Now it's almost time to rest again. Blessings to all of you! It's such a wonderful community here. I am forever thankful.

So glad you're getting some rest!
The Horse Park is so much fun. I've only had a chance to visit the museum there once, but it was fantastic, and I've gone to see a few events. Apparently they have guided trail rides around the facility, which is probably so much fun even if it is a little touristy.Formerly OscarWildin

So glad to hear that your getting lots of rest and have the best support ever lol! Thank you, I have definitely been trying to stay healthy and some days are better then others! I'm around here more now since going out isn't really an option anymore so feel free to PM me anytime if you would like to chat! :)
Your Ice 20 boy looks very nice! Hes going to make pretty foals I think! Love riding horse livers too! I'm hoping that I can afford to get the new ice next month and have a foundation ice stud of my own!Post edited by HorseAngel at 2020-11-21 20:08:54Celestial Angels, The Balinor Breed! The fact that you slept for so long shows that your body needed it. I hope that getting plenty of rest will help you recover your strength and that you will soon be feeling better.
Your Ice 20 stallion is lovely and with your plans for crossing him with a variety of genes you should certainly get some interesting foals. :)Thanked by 1DragnFly -
It sounds like you are in a beautiful part of the world. I have sent you a small gift. I hope you like it.

So sorry I didn't reply sooner. I've spent alot of time just sleeping and haven't felt much like being online.
OscarWildin, I can't wait to go back to the Horse Park. I absolutely love it there. Living in a tourist town, I guess it's what I kinda expect, lol. But I love it anyway.
HorseAngel, I managed to add a boost to my Ice20 boy. I'm very happy with how he is now. Can't wait to see his babies. I do hope you get Ice 20 next month. Maybe we can trade a few foals to freshen our lines.
WhiteValley, I'm looking forward to seeing his foals.
Pagan, Thank you SO much for the straws! You have some gorgeous stallions! I can't wait to see the resulting foals.
Thank you all so very much for taking time out for me. You have all helped me more than I can say. Blessings to each of you. -
Not a problem! Always happy to help or just talk! :) Your foals will be lovely and I would absolutely love to trade a foal or two with you(if/when I can get ice 20)! The boost was a nice touch too! Thank you and many warm prayers to you as well! @};-Celestial Angels, The Balinor Breed! We Specialize In Riding Horses & Ponies!

I got excellent news! My biopsy was completely clean! No sign of anything bad. Still no idea why, but controlling things with meds for now. May have to consider surgery later down the road, but for now I'm in the clear.
Thank you all for your wonderful words and prayers! Blessing to all of you! -
That's really great news! Congrats on your clean result, that's fantastic. Honestly, good for you for staying strong through all of this, it sounds like all the uncertainty on top of really not feeling well at all was tough.
