Breeding Quality Foals
-
How can I produce foals that won’t be gelding or spayed? I’ve only been able to breed a few that stayed as is, and would like more breeding foals, not show horses.
-
You have a basic upgrade, so papering your horses will really help. If you breed horses with the same paper levels (C to Yellow, B to Red, A to Blue, and Star to Gold), that will really improve your chances of getting foals that are breeding quality :)
I also noticed that a lot of your altered foals are unevenly bred (for example, a fourth generation stallion bred to a foundation mare). That’s great for breeding show horses because you tend to get a higher PT score, but it really hurts your chances of getting breeding quality foals. If you breed your foundation mares to foundation stallions, that will also really help improve your chances of producing foals of breeding quality!

Also , if you leave your mares in pasture they give a "bonus" to their offspring ; stallions dont ; so you can keep them in stalls until breeding season unless you dont have room ;
A good ruile of thumb is 3 - 5 show horses per breding horse also ; your daily payout is what enables you to earn money and keep breeding :) -
Showhorses are what you really want to have in this game. This game requires a long patient approach. Showhorses are what earns you money in this game. The more showhorses you have, the more money available you have for spending on projects or the like.
That being said, however, to get intact foals, your best bet is to breed horses of the same generation to each other. Foundation x foundation, 2nd gen x 2nd gen, so on.Post edited by Forestshadow at 2020-11-25 07:41:57 -
Since this game is firmly based in real life (except for the fantasy genes Ammit provides just for fun), many horses will not be the best for breeding, just as it is for real horses. The contributions each sire and dam provide to their foals are randomly generated, with hidden odds for which way it goes each time. It's a lot like rolling dice.
As has already been said, the neuters are what fuels our cash balance, in the long run, and they definitely will make a contribution to your game
