New - Looking For A Great Horse
  • I’m new and looking for a horse that is pretty amazing. I feel this post would help me learn a lot. If you can explain why the horse you have to sell is amazing or “rare” I’d love to give it a forever home.

I have a total of just 45k and would like to keep 10k for keep sake.

Please educate me while you sell me. Pretty colors woo me, thank you guys!!
    Thanked by 1ConfluenceStable
  • Gelded and spayed show ponies with showing points are the most important part of your stables they generate your income
  • For breeding you can get foundation horses you should breed yellow mares to c papered stallions and red papered to B papered stallions to get the best chance at intact foals
  • I have this appaloosa you may have for 1hb if you like

She would be good to breed to a B papered foundation stallion

  • If you can you should do all testing on a horse that you breed to be sure that there quality is improving! That means going to a horses Control Tab and doing all the tests(papering is only available if you have a basic upgrade but you should have basic Breeding Advice and Performance testing open to you)

I do have a whole sale barn of young horses that you can take a look though if you would like! I put them though the highest testing and all horses I have have been Papered and passed Strict Breeding Advice as well! I don't know what you fancy but all the horses that I breed are usually Riding horses or Riding ponies! Many have some higher value genes such as DP, Snowflake, Pearl, KP, GP and ND1! I also bred a lot of Appaloosas with some being know as Leopard Appaloosa (when they are entirely spotted and have Hom PATN1) which depending on what you are trying to bred for can also be rather valued to some breeders! Be warned that there are some Fantasy foals also in my sale barn and unless you have that certain fantasy license (which can only be gotten if you buy the gene with real money on the RSG gene sales) so those will probably be unavailable to you but all the others will! You can tell if a horse has a fantasy gene because it will be highlighted in there gene sets or say "fantasy genes" under there color names some times! Hope this helps!

Here is my Sale Barn link, you are welcome to any of them for half price then they usually sell for:

  • Stallion papers go from Showable Only (you should never breed from these), C papered (Foundation horses will be this), B papered (Foundation horses from an Exceptional Herd Helper will be this), A papered and Star papered.

Mare papers go from Failed (you should never breed from these), Yellow papered (Foundation horses will be this), Red papered (Foundation horses from an Exceptional Herd Helper will be this), Blue papered and Gold papered.

The FAQ User Guide may be able to answer some of your questions, but we are always happy to clarify things for new players. :)

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure.

  • @Dipstick023 you have to at least have a Basic upgrade for papering. Which if you do save up to 30 Iv's you can get a Basic upgrade for a year. :) That's what I am doing right now!

  • @Dipstick023, He's a gray splash leopard appaloosa that is also het for DP(which can give you Livers), Sabino( a lot of players like and breed for this gene) and Satin(which is expensive either way you get it, in the Lab or with real money) and he tested Superior to his sire(his Daddy, which was a B paper and he is a A) which is a super great thing that can really improve the horses that you breed, if you like gray's(not everyone does but its really your own personal preference) and he's even bred as well! All of that adds value But he's a third generation too and if you want to start off your breeding (and if you also want to keep your horses even bred, your own choice but it can bring down your horses value if you do) then you would want foundations(which you can create yourself) or a second generation horse(which I have available for sale as well, there marked by the numbers in there names and there papers are too)! So its really what ever you want/like yourself, what ever color or genes that you like or are looking for? What do you like to breed? Things like that also make them great horses for you! If you are looking for more Livers(horses with DP) or Snowflakes then there are a few in my sale barn that are Hom DP liver appaloosas (a lot of them also have the pearl gene which makes them Pearl Livers) and a few that are het Snow 2 gen boys if you would prefer them instead!

If you would like him then you can defiantly have him if that's what you discide you want/like horses like him! Price for him would be 5k since they can go from anywhere at 10k and up! :)

I have this boy. He was my best pasture foal this month. If you decide to put horses in your pastures (for free accounts, pastures fit one stallion and ten mares), you can breed the pasture for 500 hb per foal, or they will be bread on the 14th of every month. If they are bread automatically, you will get an email notification stating your pasture horses have been bred. The email will also tell you which foal was the best bred.

I also have this spayed mare. As a few other players have said, good show horses are important to build income, even if they aren't the best breeders. Though she definitely isn't the highest PT in the game, she'll make a good start.
