14 YEAR Hajiversary EXTRAVAGANZA. Get IN here!
-
Love reading all these answers and seeing all the similarities!
18. 14 years ago I was also 13 and playing Horseland! My first real introduction to html (along with Myspace of course =)) ) I had my first half-arabian horse, Ladyhawke, who is also clearly my barn namesake. I was in 4H and showing on my middle school equestrian team and had just started showing at B-circuit arab shows! :D
I would love some extra HBs to assist with gift shopping to spoil my giftee!Post edited by LadyhawkeStables at 2020-12-02 10:03:47 -
16: when I was a kid I used to go to the zoo with my grandmother and cousins all the time. At the time I remember there being one of those pony ride thingies where they walk around in a circle? I have no idea what that's called LOL but one of the ponies was a flea-bitten shetland pony gelding named Snowflake and I adored him. My grandma says we went to that same zoo a few other times that year and the year after and apparently, I'd always make sure I got to ride snowflake or I'd cry :)) Going to the zoo and first meeting Snowflake is actually the oldest memory I can recall (I must've been 4 or 5 at the time) Horsegirliness at its peak :x
I'll take a GMT to get started on my giftee's gift, also congrats on 14 years oh my goodness!!!!

Congrats on 14 years. I just started this year, but sure I won’t be going anywhere anytime soon. I love this game!
16. I remember when I was about 4-5 yrs old going with my mom to ride one of my aunts horses. I watched as my aunt got on and rode around the pasture for what seemed like forever, then it was moms turn. When my turn came they put me on and led me around the pasture once. I was so mad I didn’t get to ride by myself like they did, or ride for as long as they did. :))
I really like this girl... not sure what I would do with her GMT wise. I haven’t gotten to play with GMTs too much yet.

*16. Tell me about the first horse you remember riding
First horse I rode was Cloud, a nondescript (probably stock horse of some sort) grey gelding at a trail barn that also gave lessons. I received riding lessons for Christmas, and they were the cheapest place nearby - my mom wanted to make sure it wasn't just a fad. He was a gentleman, very beginner safe. This biggest claim to fame was that he was used for Indian weddings. Instead of riding a white elephant (which are scarce in North Jersey), the grooms would ride Cloud to meet their brides. Cloud had the traditional blankets and get up and everything.
Could I have this mare? Want to give her to my giftee.

also, I really want to know some of these answers about the early days of HaJ - I love reading about them! -
18# Well I don't know about you but 14 years ago I was only a 9 years old kid who still dreamed about riding horses and a LOT has changed since then lol! We have since moved a few times and I got to go to horse riding lessons for awhile too! :)
If hbs for tokens are still available then that would be great(last time I promise lol) Thank you so much for hosting this and it has been awesome! :DCelestial Angels, The Balinor Breed! We Specialize In Riding Horses & Ponies!

16. The first horse I actually remember riding was a pony at a pony ride in Griffith Park in LA. Fat, fluffy, probably not super into his job, but super cute.
And like Horse angel, if hbs are still on the table for GMTs, I would love that. I can't wait to see the answers to the early game questions. Thank you!Formerly OscarWildin

@HorseCrazyByNature you didn't say what you wanted so you didn't get anything ;) You can let me know now and I'll send it
@everyone I got lazy the last few days, sorry! One more day to participate! -
16. The first horse I rode was a 21 year old palomino quarter horse named Candy Bar. He was a patient and gentle teacher for a little 8 year old and I loved him dearly!
I would love a gmt! -
Wow, I'm an just now discovering this! I haven't been on much, what with the retail purgatory that is working Black Friday et al. So I'll answer 16 as well, and I'd love a GMT! I'm working on a couple projects, so that would be excellent! And congrats on half you life in here, that's amazing, lol!
I don't specifically remember the first (several, probably) horses I rode, but when I was six I got a black miniature gelding of my very own named Snickers, who was also six and that was very exciting, and he's the first I actually remember riding. He wasn't actually trained for more than the basic being led around with a kid on his back, but over the next eighteen years or so we learned an awful lot together and from each other! By High School we were doing a pony cart, and I learned just how much he trusted me when I accidentally drove him into a pole because the borrowed driving bridle we were using had warped blinders covering his eyes, which I somehow hadn't noticed through all his floof, and he couldn't see at all but didn't hesitate for a single step. Nowadays I live in town, and so do my parents, so he had to go live with someone else. Broke my heart a little, but last I heard he was doing well and living with a little kid who adores him, and despite the fact that I'm 28 now and that means he is too I'm going to just assume that's the case forever!Spiderweb Stables

I can only answer 3
*16. Tell me about the first horse you remember riding?- She was my mom's big white Appy named Sugar Plum. She was stubborn but so gentle. While trail riding, if you crossed water, you had to keep her going because she wanted to stop and lay down in the water. We had her all of my childhood. I'm 54 now and still miss her terribly.
*17. How did you find out about Hajinc and what made you stay?- White Valley and I play a farming game where we belong to the same Co-Op. It's looking like it will be going kaput at the end of the year so she invited me here. Thank you White Valley, I'm loving it!
*18. What were you doing with your life 14 years ago? What has changed in that time? We had just bought this house in August of that year so it would have been our first Christmas here. The youngest son was a freshman so still at home. -
#15. Favourite Anime.
I loved Hello Lady Lynn when I was a bit younger. Currently I am watching Gin no Saji (It means Silver spoon). I am a bit younger than most here, so I find this one to be really good.
#16 The first horse I ever rode was an older half Percheron Mare named Flash. She was all white and I was really little about 2 or 3 when I started riding her. Mum wishes we had her still for my little niece.
I loved Flash and when she died I was heartbroken. I was only 7 at the time, half my lifetime ago and Flash was over 35 that mum knew of. She was the best first horse a kid could ever dream of. -
The first horse that I remember riding are my great grandpa’s Shires (my son’s middle name is from him) at like the age of three, and I remember feeling like I was sitting on a table, and that I was on the tallest horse in the world and riding through the clouds, and that the normal sized paint horse they had too was a tiny Shetland pony :))
I’m saving up to get the last copy of nd1 on this guy and KP2

#17 I originally played howrse and was getting bored of it. So, for awhile I bounced between like ever popular horse game out there before I stumbled upon this. I struggled to get started for awhile but now I'm glad I stayed with it. I love the constant improvements and how detailed genetics are. It never gets boring because of much there is to it. Plus, the community is awesome!
I would like a gmt please. I'm so close to finishing my project pony. Thank you! Happy 14 year anniversary!
