Tagging in the forum

Is there a way to "tag" users with the @ that have spaces in their username? So that they see replies directed at them in threads they comment on? It seems to work for usernames with no spaces like mine @SilverCreekFarmHJ1: 133971

i leave the spaces out like for MasterStables MS ; i would just leave it space between Stables and ms and they get the tag
