Anyone Have A Good Herd Sale For New Player
  • Would anyone sell a herd that would help a new player with daily profit? I would love to save for the herd. I’m making around 850 a day and it’s just not cutting it. Or is there other suggestions for money making?
  • Can you still create pointed horses? Selling pointed show horses works well. Otherwise build that show herd.

  • I run out of money and it’s more of a gamble.

I guess I should create show horses and sell those? I jsit don’t know how it’ll make me money or which ones to keep?
  • I didn’t but I’m doing it how! Thank you!!
  • if you sell at the pointed price ; you make much more than the 2500 it takes to create them ; but make sure you post one in Herzeloyde's discussion if you haven't

  • On my alt account, I haven't started breeding at all yet, and I've sold all my creates that have less than ~500 points for around 3,000 less than their lifetime payout (so a horse with a 15,000 lifetime payout gets sold for about 12,000), as well as selling Rank Special herd helpers for their value (like a Pretzel Twist today for 250k) and I have over 2mil on that account just from that. I just make sure my total points held stay under 20,000, but I keep my really high earners, and then eventually when I decide what I want to breed on that account, I'll use the money I've earned to buy show stock and nice breeding horses.

  • Wow thank you for that info! Sometimes they r so pretty I don’t want to sell
  • So 500 pts at create?
  • Honestly, you can use whatever benchmark you want, I just keep the REALLY high pointed ones and sell the others for a quick buck. Anything with less than a 10k payout, unless it's a rank special that people want (learning the market takes a bit of time, but people are helpful and kind here), I dump into the auction. I keep horses above 400 or 500, but I've sold a few of those too. You have to just remember that you'll be able to be really picky once you have some cash to be picky with (cause you can GMT horses when you have enough money, too).

When you have less than 20,000 points, your creates will be generated with anywhere from 1 (more typically, around 100 points) to 1,000 points. I usually get them in the 200-300 range and sell those, cause there are always people searching in the sales for pointed young horses.

  • Also make SURE you signed up for the newsletter ; Ammit puts one out several times a year and most often there is a 1hb create code on there that gives you a 1,000 point horses ; which if you create it as a 2yo will pay out TONS over time :)

  • While having a cut off point is a good strategy what I did on an alternate account was create pointed horses (preference to yearlings from show horse herd helpers or exceptional perfect this way it gives optimal length of time to build more points for its owner)

I stopped when I a) ran out of room in all my barns or b) exceeded 20,000 points and could no longer create horses with points.

Then I went through and sorted all the horses in my barns by points. With the highest pointed horses in the farthest barns from my primary. Anything left in my primary barn got listed for sale (at the time I added $500 per 100 points the horse held to the basic create price as I wanted them to move quickly) I also created a post in the forums with a search link to my sale horses and would post on the thread every time I added more (to keep the forums from getting cluttered by the same post) I left them for a week and entered everything left in the primary barn into the Sunday auction.

As horses sold I would create more and exchange higher pointed horses in my extra barns (started with the welcome pack barn from posting in your peer group then bought more with the profits) and list them for sale in my primary barn.

This process allows you to make the most profit with the least number of horses.

To really make a quick turnaround profit:

Save up as much money as you can (preferably $2,600 x primary barn stalls) Make sure you empty your primary barn by the 2nd last auction of the month.

On the last auction of the month go through and buy as many 9year old horses for $2,600 as you can. (Use the search to narrow the auction list down by exactly 9 year old, sort by total points.) put bids on as many as you can going down the list. Come back later in the day to continue if you can.

On the first auction of the new month enter the whole barn back into the auction as 10 year olds auction at their lifetime pay out so you should make a profit on any you bought for cheap at the last auction

  • As hard as it is try to save as much money as possible (or invest in IV’s to buy new barns if you can’t trust yourself with spare money floating around) once you have a good solid show herd then work on building your breeding herd (make sure to try to keep your breeding and testing costs below the amount your show horses make you in a month)

  • Also forgot to add I have an open buddy chat named JL Show Horse Sales. I will most likely be sending 2,000 show horses to the auction by the end of the month so there’s tons to choose from now.

(Some of the horses with prefixes or names may not be for sale)
