Kittens are dangerous!
-
I've always had cats, yes from when I was born even. When I moved out of home and got my first cat, it and all my cats since then have been adult rescue cats. This time I got a kitten because I hoped it would be easier for it to learn birds aren't toys or food. I have a cockatiel that hasn't had the doors on his cage shut for at least 5 years. Nobody warned me kittens are demons wearing fur. On the upside, I don't have to buy toys. My keyboard, toilet paper, rolled up socks, shoe, the box the ozonol came in, my butt (even the bite mark) toes, fingers, my hair to be knotted, the list is growing. I'm thinking of getting him his own keyboard. Oh, he catches a mouse a day, but apparently he works on the "catch and release" method.Post edited by OopsDotCom at 2020-12-10 16:01:36Thanked by 1ConfluenceStable

One of my mom’s cats once practiced catch and release. Mom had an interesting experience chasing that mouse out of her apartment :)I’m autistic and I struggle with any kind of communication, so I apologize in advance if I say anything rude or offensive because there’s a 99% chance that I have no clue I did it. I appreciate your patience with me!Thanked by 1OopsDotCom

On the bright side, he didn't drop it in my lap still wiggling like my female. I did a lot of screaming. Never have been sure of which I preferred, the mouse in my lap, or finding one in the dark stepping on it with my bare foot.Post edited by OopsDotCom at 2020-12-10 21:26:47

Lol. That reminds me of the time I lived in New Mexico with my now dearly departed mom. We lived in Great Grandma's house after she went to a private home, and we had an outdoors cat to help with pest control. Well she had kittens, and we took the kittens inside so they would have a safe place. When they got old enough, Mama decided they needed something special. So she went and caught a kangaroo rat and brought it into the house. It was clearly alive and not hurt. Boy, I sure had a time catching that one with Mama watching avidly. I finally caught it and released it back outside.Thanked by 1OopsDotCom

Mama was probably rooting for the rat
He's finally got his name, "Spot"... Because he has stripes, and no spots. I don't know if that's from an old cartoon or where it came from but my foster daughter name him, but I do remember that naming from years ago.Post edited by OopsDotCom at 2020-12-12 22:16:33
