Sorry if this has been asked before, but I’m curious.

The way I understand it, the rules say that an alternate account cannot be created and merged just to support the main account. How exactly does that work? Like if I create an alternate account so I can have fun making pointed creates or do some breeding experiments, and then four months later I decide to merge it with my main account, is that against the rules?

I thought you just can’t use alts to trade between accounts but this doesn’t include merging to my knowledge. Of course I’ve never looked into it so hopefully someone else can advise.

That’s how I read it at least. I tend to break rules without knowing it, so I try to be absolutely sure that I understand them.

There are several reasons. One of them is that people were creating alt accounts to get the herd helpers, then merging them. It is depressing to find out all the ways people have cheated and tried to cheat the game.

That scenario would be totally fine. Some people were making dozens of new free accounts, getting the new member stuff, and then merging them into the main account when they wanted more money. They were obviously cheating and knew they were cheating.
