Ok, so the only good news right now is that so far none of our tests have come back positive.
The bad news would be my aunt has gotten it and has been in the hospital for days. She seemed stable for the most part but now can't breathe on her own, the doctor says she has a slim chance that she will come off of the respirator and has a very high fever now..................were all worried sick that she won't pull though this, I don't even know what to think right now! My whole family is stressed enough already because we have to wait on getting unemployment until after the 27th and there is absolutely no income, tomorrow is looking to be a bust this year. I really just don't know what to do anymore. I just feel sick thinking about everything right now. :(

Thank you all for your words and prayers, they are most certainly needed. We got the news the day before Christmas Eve and yesterday was so hectic that I was barley on(so the post was a little late) and now there's today's stuff to deal with. I still feel so overwhelmed and still not sure just what to do. I know that many others have had it just as hard this year(some even suffered losses of there own), and I am so sorry for their families as well, but all we can do is keep on trying (through the tears anyway) to get through this. I have been so greatful for the support here every day though the year, I don't know what I would do without it.

For what's it's worth, I would like to wish everyone here a Merry Christmas today. We have not gotten anymore news so we are waiting and have managed to get a ham for Christmas and we all made cards for each other as gifts. Were too busy to get a tree up and not many decorations, but just trying to make the most of it today. Hoping playing some Christmas songs will help get our spirits up at least a little.

Sorry, I haven't been updating this much, it's been hard and it's been touch and go for the last 5 days with her. I think I'm pretty much numb at this point and have been trying to just focus on my horses to help deal with everything. We have been waiting for more news on her condition since before Christmas and today we got a call from the hospital. ...............

....And it seems that her fever has finally broke! It was a shock and great to hear. If she manages to get stronger and get stable again, then she may be able to get though this and eventually be off the respirator as well! It will be a long rode to recovery (months) and she still has weeks in the hospital if she does manage to get stronger and there's still a chance that she won't but at this time its better than nothing. This almost feels like a small delayed miracle right now!

It was a rocky start and she's not completely out of the woods yet, but better than before if by a little bit. It is a great relief and we hope(and crossing our fingers) that she will continue to improve and manage to recover. Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers again! I think they really helped! O:-)

Thank you so much everyone! Yes, it is one step forward and we hope that it stays that way! We are certainly trying to stay safe as much as we can and even more so now.
