Frame remove or not to remove.....(DONE)
-
That is the question.
So my issue is to leave the frame gene on this guy or not. For me it is not a big issue as I have a small stable currently. If studding him out would it deter others from buying straws?

I personally like frame and it’s easy to avoid mares with it. :)
-
I don't have any issues with frame, and would love straws!
-
Wow, I love him and would definitely buy straws as-is!Formerly OscarWildin

I always remove frame from my studs but allow it in my mares as it avoids double frame issues (for me at least)HJ1: 266615

I always remove frame as well, I tend to forget about lethal whites. A lot of people actually enjoy it though! It's all about preference! He is super pretty though
-
Thank you everyone. I love his white belly :D
I just went through and marked all my girls. He is my first serious GM project so just wanted some insight. I agree that lethal white could be an issue, my 3rd breeding season (September2020) I did lose 2 foals to it. Now just to get another GMT to remove it only because I really do not want anyone to lose a baby. He will be ready as soon as I can get frame off of him and after tomorrow night.Post edited by Tzano at 2020-12-30 16:44:55 -
If you like how the frame looks but don’t want to worry about lethals, I think you can change the inheritance percentage in the GMT lab so only the set without frame is inheritable. That way he has no chance of passing it on but you can still look at the pretty white spots.I mostly play on mobile so I can't usually see signatures!
Breeding Pearl Warmbloods, Little Red Riding Ponies, and... whatever else suits my fancy lol. -
@erisa I did not even think about that!
Can any one confirm how to do this. I have no GM so is their a place to see what strand to move the inheritance to? I did not even know that was available.Post edited by Tzano at 2020-12-30 16:50:40 -
@Tzano, you would go into the GMT lab, towards the bottom there's an inheritance button, if you click that you'll see 5 different options:
100 : 0
75 : 25
50 : 50
25 : 75
0 : 100
The first set of numbers is the first set of genes and the second set of numbers is the second set of genes...
You'll want to choose the 100 : 0 -
@Bambi207 do you know how many GMT it costs?
Thank you!Post edited by Tzano at 2020-12-30 17:03:17 -

I can’t believe this community, you guys are the best! I received the HB’s to change him to 100% on primary strand.
