Ok, so I was thinking about putting up an Egg Sale Ad this season for my fantasy mares but I have only ever sold straws from my horses before and have no idea what fantasy eggs like these would go for so........I was hoping to get some advice/suggestions on egg prices for some of my girls posted here! I am not very good at pricing things myself and don't want to be unfair, any help would be great thank you! :)

What would you pay for them egg wise or have as a price range?

I use Cheshire Farm's Stallion pricing method, round up to the nearest multiple of 5, and then add a thousand. For genes they don't have listed on there I'd say find a gene of similar value *in the RGS* (Sb2 and S+ cost the same, Phantoms and Sun/Sno cost the same etc.) For Genes in the RGS between $15-$20 USD I'd add 7-10k hbs per copy to the price of each egg :)

Thank you @Elfwood, I do use it to help in pricing straws from my boys as well and its very effective I think, though adding in fantasy genes is still a bit hard for me to do and there was nothing out there for eggs. I will have to see about doing what you have suggested, but for now I was mostly looking for a good price range egg wise for my mares above. What would you pay for them? I really don't want to Math today lol. *-:)

Lucky for you I like math :))

For your first mare 45k-50k

For your second mare 65k-70k (because of her age you can either reduce or raise the price *both strategic marketing tactics in my opinion*)

For your third mare 25k-30k

For your fourth mare 15k-20k

Obviously this is my method and you can redo math if you'd like, but in the end it's your choice how you price your eggs :)
