Ello! I'm Weasel/WeaselWarDance. Horse lover of 31 years, sadly only an owner for a few of them. I have a resident cat and bird. Would love to make some new friends!

I've played horse sims for years, but not quite like this, so it's a bit of a learning curve for me (think forum based/old school/keep track of everything with spreadsheets - mmm spreadsheets).

Also, currently dealing with brain fog, so please excuse the dumb questions and whatnot. XD

Hi I'm Lockne!

I found out about this game from reddit and tried it out on the Forest server yesterday. I'm having so much fun that I decided to create a second account for this server! I'm doing Riding Horses on the Forest Server and plan to do Warmbloods here. :)

My main question so far is how do you get horses inspected for breeding papers?

Welcome both Lockne, and SunkissedAppys!

To get a horse papered you need an upgrade, and then to run the Breeding Inspection test that is listed at the bottom of the Control Panel tab/page. I believe it costs 1000 hbs. You can BUY a horse that has already been tested, but you cannot sell a horse to someone else just to have the test done (then buy it back)

Hi and welcome! To send a PM go to the top of the page and find the little envelope. If you click on it it will take you to the main forum page, and then click the word Inbox, in the menu bar. Then click Start A New Conversation and your're good to go!

To sell a horse privately you need to find a chat room. Only members with a premium upgrade can create chat rooms, but several have chat rooms that anyone can use.

If you and your friend have accounts that are associated you may not be able to purchase horses from each other. If that is the case, you can ask someone on the forum to be a 'middleman' for the sale, but it has to be on the open forum where everyone can see that it is all on the up and up! We had some problems with cheating between players with associated accounts, so it had to be set up this way.

I live on a farm and we farm sheep and cattle, I've always love horses though and always will. Thank you for this awesome creation.

Oh wow, I can't believe I didn't find this thread until now. I'm so sorry! I joined in April too, but I'm still confused about this game :D I've been thinking of getting an upgrade, but I wanted to get the basics down before that. I've been wondering if people tend to breed more for certain colours or for PT scores? Or are paper levels more important than PT? I'm terribly sorry if this isn't the right place to be asking questions.

Paper scores lead to higher PT so they go hand in hand. From what I've seen most people breed for color/size with paper level then have a separate line for high PT. Mostly though as you breed your main lines if you keep the paper level increasing the PT will come naturally.

I'm one of the stubborn ones....I breed for both color AND PT! It is slower, but it can work, and I have really nice horses. WAAAAY back when I VERY first started (and man was just learning how to create fire!) I got seriously frustrated trying to do everything at once, so I applaud your decision, @Rikee, to learn the ropes before allowing your HJ addiction to run wild!

How long have you liked horses? I have liked horses all my life. However, that was sealed into reality when I got to ride my uncle's pony and paint horse when we went to visit.

I also got into breeding with my own stud. I had to give that up when I got sick.

Why did you join HAJ? I joined mostly for genetics, which helped me to visualize and understand a lot of it. However, I stayed because I can own thousands of horses. I can only own 7 in reality :))

How Many horses do I own? I have 7 horses, 4 Arabians, 2 Paints, and a Thoroughbred. 2 of The Arabians are rescues, both severe abuse cases. The Thoroughbred was bought from my daughter's friend who got into a bad situation and had to sell. The others I bought outright. One of the paints is retired and does light riding on occasion. The other paint is her foal and he is destined for the show ring in reining.

I have ridden in just about every discipline and trained about the same. I specialize however in training dangerous horses and rescues.

I am always looking for new friends, especially those around my area in Iowa to go riding with or maybe to meet up on endurance rides!

Im just going to do it as short as I can to get to the point.

-I am taking lessons, I havent really learned to canter yet but I have done some trot cavelletis
-I joined it because I was in search of a good horse game
-I just own a little corn snake Hickory
-I am always looking for friends, especially in the bootstrap community!

Well I actually joined in March but can’t seem to find that thread… I own two horses with one in the oven and one dog. I’ve had horses my whole life as it’s kinda off a family thing lol so I ride and drive the draft horses and mini ponies to lol and I just need an IV hook up to coffee lol
