    ok so my stallion Valhalla has been bred 50 times but can i still sell straws?

    Live cover and breeding via straws have no correlation.. you just can't breed him by live cover after 50 breedings

    In real life a stallion can breed more mares with straws than he can with live cover. Live cover is great, but the stallion tends to , ahem, release more stuff than actually needed to get the mare pregnant. When collected artificially, if the stallion has good fertility, a collection that would breed one mare live cover could be divided into three straws to breed three different mares, sometimes even more! So that’s why you can still sell straws :)

    It is about 60 straws per collection on average but you normaly use a several straws per mare so about 5 to 10 mares per collection is the norm.
