Homozygous Frame

    I picked up this pretty Trick or Treat mare in auction and she's homozygous for frame! I thought the only horse able to carry hom frame was a freaky friday horse. I thought if you added an additional frame gene that it could kill the horse.

    Anyway, I just thought it was really interesting and wanted to share.

    Edit: if I take off a copy of gene, it won't harm her right?

    I guess hom frame creates are en exception, but hom frame lined horses definitely won’t survive. I’m working on part 2 of my frame post in the Genetics section to explain a little bit more about why that happens.

    And she’ll be just fine if you take a frame copy off of her :)

    The 2nd frame was added on through the GMT lab. You can make any Foundation create into hom Frame in the GMT lab without it harming the horse. It's lined horses that holds true in the game that hom frame is lethal. You can also remove the frame without it harming her as well.

    I've never seen another hom frame besides a freaky Friday so I honestly didn't even think it were possible :)

    I'd be happy to take her if you left both copies of frame on, just name a price! If you want her het for your program though I get it haha.
