Nothing special just ran out of breedings on my stud so thought I'd mix up the bloodline a bit. Looking to spend around 10K though you could convince me to go up to 20K. If no one has anything interesting I'll just create one. Also interested in live cover if you have a foundy you want to offer up.

Hey @boredaf is there a specific color you're going for? I could offer straws or liver covers to any of my boys I have a couple up in my chat, Bitterroot Stables.

I have this boy I’ll sell up to 20 straws from him. Im not super certain what the going rate for straws is these days so we can figure that out later if your interested.

Technically yes but I was actually going ask if we could make it 3 for 10K each (30K total) from your boy? I looked at what I'm getting from the next auction and I'm doing quite a bit better than I thought. Anyway if so, you can keep the imperator straw I have others and I'll toss you two more from KbtS if you like?

It should only be about another day on Beacon too as I have pretty much finished what I had planned to do with him, still thinking about adding a Brown or Dun gene and then he is set to go! Thanks for being so patient! You can see his new look above as well. :D

:) I'm glad he's turning out well I don't have the experience with GMTing but I know it's unfortunate when you have a breeding pair you think will turn out one way and then you're like 0_0 what even is this foal? I actually had that happen last night when I studded to Glory of Sleipnir I used a blue roan toby mare and somehow wound up with this

Lol. But she tested out well and isn't a descendant of KbtS so I'm happy :) She is really cute just not remotely what I expected.

I really haven't been GMTing too much myself and am still learning a whole lot as I go! He would probably only be my 3rd or 4th real big project so I am pretty happy with him compared to some other GMT fails lol. Oh my, I Love her name! My family and I had lived in Alaska for 5 years! :x. Its the Wild Bay on her that makes her look like that, if she didn't have + then she would have turned out either a Black, Blue Roan with a chance of Tobiano or Rab, or a Chestnut. A Liver Chestnut if there was no E and if she hadn't missed the DP and was Hom Sooty lol. :)

Thanks, it's so cool you got to live there. Oh that's good information, I'm still learning how all the interactions work, though I'm beginning to be able to pick out some genes like H and P by look.

Alaska is a really pretty place and I loved it there but we had to move to Texas for my dads job. Texas isn't too bad though. ......just a little bit Warmer than I was used to lol! Yeah there is definitely a lot to know (even I'm still learning it all), I breed a lot of Liver Chestnut with Pearl and Black based colors so I know those the best! The Genetic Guide is a big help (I took many notes lol) and if you ask me Bay is the most complex because it has so many interactions and the fact that there are 3 versions of Bay: Wild Bay (+), Bay (A) and Brown (t). Bay will only show if there is also a Black gene present ( E not e) there is a lot of variation with it when you add in other things like Cream (which would then make them a Buckskin) or Dun (Bay Duns, Buckskin Duns....ect)! There are quite a few interesting interactions with Champagne too but I don't know there variations as well as I do others. That's great that you can pick them out now! With time you will have it all down pat! ;)

Texas is a great state from what I've heard but I wouldn't be able to deal with that kind of heat. Yeah I'm pretty sure I have the genetic guide memorized lol but it could use an update though I think perhaps it's intentionally vague to encourage people to experiment.

Dun and cream seem quite unpredictable to me because they're not really their own thing but reliant on other genes. I have a pretty good grasp on bay cause for a while it was all I could seem to roll, made the mistake of creating a wild bay stud. I love the way wild bay looks but it has a way of homogenizing the line. Which I suppose is a perk but it wasn't what I was after. Anyway moral of the story for me was only put + on mares.

Yeah, Texas does take some getting used to! It is also quite windy as well! Have some pretty BIG spiders here which I don't really like........eek!

Dun, Cream, Pearl, Silver and Champagne are lightening genes and so weaken coat colors while things like DP and Sooty are darkening genes and deepens coat colors. The Guide could really use and update though too! I have cut + out of my herd completely because it can get way too over powering and I wanted to breed mostly Brown, Dun and Buckskin instead of just Bays! I think those colors are So striking when they are dark and I prefer them over Wild Bays! :x

Yeah kind of like that pretty girl! Except with DP and/or S+ and different versions of Dun! Sorry I am bad a using the search to try and find an example or two. Brown based Buckskin are also dark and pretty I think!

Hmm, I assume those are different lines? like you keep the duns ones separate from the ones with darkening genes?

Ok now that I said it i agree with you 100%.......it is worse.

I do like to try and keep my Buckskins separate so they stay darker but I pretty much like anything with Dun or ND1 which can make it hard to keep to it lol! Here is a Rhythm Of Four HH, they are always a good example of a DP Buckskin (not mine because all of mine have fantasy genes):

Hmm that's much darker than I think when I think buckskin but it's a nice look, gotta love dappling. I have a silver black with dapples in my pasture and high hopes for her foals, if I can keep the dapples into 3g they'll look so nice with satin and nex.

No that'll be fine I just didn't want you thinking I flaked. I have a colt in limbo right now cause someone 'bought' him and never picked him up.

Its the DP and Hom Sooty combo that makes them dark otherwise a Buckskin is usually much lighter! Dun can lighten the coat a bit too but there still a little dark if they have the Sooty and DP. I love the look and the dapples just make it even better! You can re-roll horses to get dapples to show some times but they work better with DP or if the horse has Silver, then dappling shows up nice (or they are just lucky too). Good luck with breeding her and her foals, Satin on Blacks is so lovely and a Nexus with dapples.....oh my that would be so amazing! =P~

Ooh ok, no worries! I will send them out when I can then. :) Yeah that happens sometimes when selling horses, I uaually wait for about a week or two then if they still haven't picked the horse up (after reminding them or sending a PM) I just put it back up for sale and/or move on if they don't respond.

Then I could breed the foal (if its suitable) to my 2g nexus stud.

Oh she is pretty! Hmm Silver only shows on Black bases and I don't think that you can technically breed dapples on here now that I think about it because its not a gene in the game. Its more like the luck of the draw if they get them or not on there pics, re-rolls can help show them but its hard to do. You could certainly try it if you want! The result would be interesting either way (lucky or not) mixing things like Cream, Silver or Kit M with Nexus so more power to you. :-bd

Sales: Yeah it does feel that way to me too but luckily it doesn't happen very often at least. I try to be as polite as possible in the reminders to them.
