I made this boy (posted below) and I had an idea of what I wanted to do with him when I made him but now I’m having second thoughts. He’s my first real gmt project so Ill feel bad if he just goes to waste

So if he were yours what would you be breeding him to? What would you do with him? Thanks!

I saw a liver/satin line with horse like him that looked really nice I'd say satin

I mean, I'm pretty much always gonna say a horse like that would look great with a silver or satin.

For me it is ND1, KP/KP2, satin, and some sort of white spotting gene. Mine all have mushroom and are chimeras, too.

Are you being literal about them /all/ having mushroom? Cus if you have any that don't I'd be quite interested in straws.

I'd cross him with a lot of Pretzel Twist mares, and try and introduce some chocolate/mushroom/satin down the line too. Also if you're selling straws, I'd be interested!

You could breed big spot appies! It’s unpredictable and challenging, and I’ve enjoyed it. (Actually, I enjoy breeding appies just in general)

He’s great as is for that goal, but if he was mine I’d probably add some nd1, cream, or Pearl or all of the above for funsies. Then I’d breed him to a wide variety of coloured mares with the biggest spots I could get, with and without cream and peal. DP from both parents is a big help with big spot breeding. Sooty is a necessity.

@paradoxphenoiex the original goal was to breed for liver appies, but I feel like it’s to vague and would be producing way to many horses. So I think something strict would be better for me. I can’t further gmt him because I got impatient and bred him, oops.

Can you post some examples of your big spot appies? I’m very interested.

Honestly, there's a lot you could breed him to but I'm partial to dark, sooty horses lol. As stardustgirl said, if you're selling straws I'm also interested. I have my own liver stud identical to him :) Personally, I would breed him to some nice brown, roan, dun horses or dark liver mares. I have a ton of Storm Warning girls so I would throw him in their pasture and see what colors I get :D

okay I did a search of my barns ... and it turns out I have 20 pages of Lp based horses ... hmmm, so I went through to see what I could really find in there and found a lot ... way to many to pick out a few ... so I found my Halo boy and brought up his foals as these guys have big spots and halo

Most of my guys are Lp/Lp ... as that is how I breed my appies; there is a few that are holding other genes in there, but they will most likely have splash 3 or mushroom or satin in there as that is the lines that I do mix lp with other patterns.
