I posted this on FB, but I could really use this whole community because I'm struggling.

So I just need to vent to you guys because y'all are like family. I've been at a job for 2 years. The boss's girlfriend also works there (fine according to HR) and was on hiatus the past year and a half due to Covid. She came back last week, was super condescending to me, pretty much said I'm an arrogant b-word without actually saying it. I told my boss who told me to talk to HR then.. so I did. Now they're both treating me like absolute crap, the girl is ignoring me completely and there's only 3 of us in the office so I'm the awkward third wheel now, my boss is treating me differently too. I told HR I'm considering resigning, but I really *can't* because I make good money for this area and we can't afford for me to quit. So please cheer me up! I always try to do a ton of give aways and help others because I love it, but this time it's me that needs that extra love and support because I cry everyday. Plus I'm diagnosed with severe panic disorder, anxiety, depression, and possibly PTSD... so all of these triggers have me a mess.

Oh wow, I'm so sorry you're going through all of that :(

Your physical and mental health is worth more than any amount of money you can make. If you do consider going through with resignation, I really hope you can find something where you feel more comfortable at work.

I may not be the best advice but if you need someone to talk to, my door is open.

Thanks guys! I'm absolutely not looking for hand outs, I just need some community love for a chance instead of being the one always doing the giveaways lol! I'm trying to stay strong,,, rum and coke helps at least!

Oh wow that sucks I'm sorry. I have the same sort of diagnosis and if it were me I'd start looking at other places to work. You gotta take care of you first, so if things continue to deteriorate it might help to have an "'escape plan" of sorts.. though maybe that's just me lol. I actively escape plan for everything to help me cope with my anxiety. Alcohol always makes me worse and thanks to my meds I'm a lightweight anyway. Dogs, horses, coloring, beading and reading are my escapes.Im sending you some stuff in the hopes it will help cheer you up. If you need someone to talk to I'm always here to listen.. though I never know what to say.. because I know when mine is acting up words never seem to help much :(

Gentle hugs, toxic workplaces are the worst. Hope things start to look up for you soon. I have sent you a couple of interesting eggs and straws.

I have parted way with my increasingly toxic workplace after 21years. Its amazing how much my mental health has improved.

Can you get signed off work with stress? I'm guessing you're in the USA so I don't know how things work over there with payment support. I agree with others, your wellbeing is more important than any other job. Start looking for a new one now even if you end up staying where you are.

In the meantime, if the weather is nice get outside for a walk. The outdoors is very beneficial for our health. I hope you feel better soon and that things improve for you.

What the ? A couple is working together and the HR thinks it's ok? Good lord, the company needs a new HR. Nepotism is never cool by any means. It often causes issues long term.

Sorry to hear that you're having difficulties, and yes that was a very inappropriate comment of her to have made.

Oh man. That sucks so much. And it's such a small workplace that going to HR again is probably not going to be helpful. I am sending all the love I can.

We all know you're a lovely person. You do the best you can do and know that you have a loving community here to support you.
